Amar'e Safari 2015 Reboot - Fooled Thrice

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Amar'e Safari trade thread

$arver is the same guy who basically put Luol Deng and Rajon Rondo up on E-Bay on draft night and ordered Shaq to be traded for cap relief.

His main source of income is from that team.

Money is a big, big, BIG motivator here.

If $arver deals with us, I bet Kerr resigns this summer.

Thank god you know how to use resign correctly!! +1

Re: Amar'e Safari trade thread

Keep in mind, though, that we don't exactly want J-Rich either. That's most likely why we want a third team. That, and to find some more young talent to give to PHX. If we can find a third team, why can't Miami? We just need to make the move before Miami can. If it means taking on J-Rich, so be it, he's not all that bad of a player, after all...
If it was that easy to send him to a third team, though, I'm pretty sure Phoenix would have done so by now.

They haven't been able to (not surprisingly), and I doubt we will be able to either. If worse comes to worst, Gilbert might as well just absorb the damn contract. It's not a Brand-esque contract....just another year left, so it's not too bad.

ESPN: Closing in on a deal!!!!!!!!!!

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4913305

Sources: Hickson, Ilgauskas to Suns

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Phoenix Suns are closing in on a deal that would send All-Star forward Amare Stoudemire to Cleveland, according to sources with knowledge of the negotiations.

The Cavaliers would send Zydrunas Ilgauskas and J.J. Hickson to Phoenix in exchange for Stoudemire,
one of the league's most dominant big man.

While Cleveland remains in talks with several other teams, the club, from management down to the players, has settled on Stoudemire as its first choice.

The ball is in Phoenix's court. The Suns are mulling whether the financial relief provided by Ilgauskas's $12 million contract and the young and talented Hickson are enough for them to part with Stoudemire.

Cleveland believes the addition of Stoudemire would all but seal LeBron James' re-signing with the team when he becomes a free agent this summer. The Cavaliers are also prepared to sign Stoudemire, who has one year and $17 million remaining on his contract, to a long-term contract extension once the season ends.

The Suns will likely waive Ilgauskas, which would allow him to be re-signed by Cleveland after 30 days.

Cleveland is also talking with Washington about acquiring Antawn Jamison, as well as Indiana about Troy Murphy. Meanwhile, Golden State is trying to entice the Cavs into taking Corey Maggette for Ilgauskas.

Re: Amar'e Safari trade thread

Whether Phoenix values Beasley over JJ is a moot point if the Cavs are willing to take on Richardson's salary and the Heat aren't. If that is the case, Sarver will hopefully override the decision of Kerr and we'll get Amare/Richardson.

Then after the season, Kerr will step down as GM realizing that the Suns are the new Clippers.

If I was MIA, I might take on J-Rich to nab Amar'e. Amar'e + Wade isn't as deadly as Amar'e + Shaq, but it's pretty damn close.

If Windy isn't going to give us a reason to stay awake, it might as well be the biggest Cavs homer on ESPN...

Re: Amar'e Safari trade thread

oh man right before I was about to go to bed. Thanks for that link. I didn't think we'd be hearing more info tonight. Quick question. I know we cant "officially" sign someone until Monday. But we can do what Dallas and Wash did, which is verbally agree if something does get done?

Re: Amar'e Safari trade thread

Did this shit just literally break? I leave for an hour and a half to get my mind of this thing and this is when shit goes down.

If we get Amar'e, I am cumming and shitting at the same time from excitement.

Re: Amar'e Safari trade thread

It's time for RCF to flex its' muscles. It's time for us to band together as Cavs fans.

We must find ROBERT SARVER'S EMAIL ADDRESS.

WE MUST FIND PICTURES OF HUNDRED DOLLAR BILLS.

HE MUST RECEIVE THESE PICTURES.

wait but how close? I mean didn't BW vaguely report that last night? I hope its "new news" and PHX gave Miami an ultimatum - take Richardson or we're moving on the Cleveland deal. Then Miami passes on it and we get STAT!
