THANK GAWD Wally is back

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Come back Wally

"Hustle" like he did against Eddie House last year?

BTW, Caron Butler is in the last picture, Silky

And thank you for bringing up wally "hustling" for that loose ball and watching eddie dive for it. Everytime I see Wally that's what goes through my mind. It's starting to make me mad again just thinking about it.

I don't think you can question Wally's hustle... he is slow on the perimeter, but Wally not hustle???????????????

Re: Come back Wally

Wally's looking for his new house in Charlotte, he should be back next week. We'll see how he hustles then.

Re: Come back Wally

When MJ buys his contract out, he may hustle right back here

Re: Come back Wally

*Deep breath* I don't know about the direction of this thread. I watched both Miami games and the Detroit loss -and those were the only Wally-less games so far- and we are not the same team without him. I'm not saying he is one of our non-tradeable entities, but I am saying he is our 8th best player, and we miss him when he isn't on the court.

Can we keep this thread on-topic, gentlemen? I'd love to have a Wally-based topic that I don't end up moving to the Trade Ideas forum.

when you're eighth best player has literally a GINOURMOUS expiring contract: it's hard not to talk about trade options. Would you rather continue the trend of just enjoying the usual Wally sucks, Sasha sucks, Boobie sucks, hell every Cavs bench player but AV sucks thread instead?

Yeah, but it's only because the people replacing Wally are god awful, when Sasha Pavlovic is your other option Wally seems like Bernard King.

Ummmm... no, but we already have over 1,000 threads dedicated to Wally's expiring contract and the possibilities that it may present. Do we need yet another?

I'd rather see a discussion about the fact Wally was helping this team out tremendously before he was banged up. I'd rather see a thread that examines how and why we don't seem to play as well without him. I'd like to know why our energy as a team was piss-poor in 7 of the past 8 quarters.

Pioneer, I've always enjoyed your posts, and I share your frustration with the word "suck" on this forum. I just want this one slippery topic, Wally's value to the team as a player, to finally be discussed.

Re: Come back Wally

wally's missed 3 games this year. We lost 2 of them.

Re: Come back Wally

I think we are coming out flat becaue we are missing chemistry without him..

clearly that ass smacking hair geling bastard is the starw that stirs this teams chemistry cocktail

Re: Come back Wally

I think having Wally out more than anything else screws up the rotations...and we all know how Mike B. handles in game lineup changes..

Here's a good reason not to trade Szczerbiak . . .

When James plays the power forward, the Cavs are doing well with the following lineups:

G - Williams, Gibson, Pavlovic, or Kinsey
G - West
F - Szczerbiak
F - James
C - Varejao, Wallace, or Jackson

Using these lineups, the Cavs have outscored opponents 574-435 (that's 116-88 per 48 minutes).

All other lineups with James playing the 4 have been outscored 188-214 (that's 91-104 per 48 minutes).

One specific group, Gibson-West-Szczerbiak-James-Varejao, is second in minutes only to the starting five this year, so this James-at-4 "experiment" will have ramifications in the playoffs.

Can someone recommend a compelling replacement for this lineup if Szczerbiak is no longer available?

-------------------------------------------------

Personally, i dont like Wally, but these stats provide an interesting perspective. Who knows if this differential is really due to Wally being in the lineup, or if it's because the first lineup has played roughly 3 times as many minutes as the other lineups; a larger data set yields a better representation of our dominance.

Wally or not, it's always good to see Lebron down low, in my opinion.

Obviously, it'd be great if we could land an impact player for Wally, but who knows if that will happen. Caron Butler is honestly one of my favorite players, but I just dont see that happening. He's the best player the Wiz has got, imho. Also, somebody mentioned how Wally's cap space would be great to have for signing free agents next season, but i thought gonna lose a lot of it anyway because we're over the cap, right?

I want a championship now, anyway. Can it happen with Wally? We might have to wait and see...

In the meantime, somehow acquiring Joe Smith would make me very happy ... Gerald Wallace for Wally sure would be a great next step

(btw, ABUC, nice find on that pic of Gerald Wallace stuffing Mr. Szczerbiak , lol)
