The 2015 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't see why they can't get about the same as last year's second half. It wasn't like the pitching was a fluke- young guys fulfilling their potential. I think the v excitement over the staff is justified, especially if Gavin Floyd can be productive and have them depth. This way when someone goes down or if one if them struggles they have Salazar or House ready in Columbus. Either way I think the pitching should hold up and carry them. Also when you consider how many on offense had down years and yet they were still halfway decent I can see them improving just by returning to the mean. Either way bring optimistic about this bunch is just good sense.

Also, as an aside I know Bruce Chen used to have a couple side pieces in Cleveland waiting for him whenever he would visit. May be extra motivation to win a job here.

Welp - we found a way to get Jigo to cheer for the Indians

That would definitely do it. I'm a huge Mariners fan.

My excitement for the pitching staff is still a little bit down because of the guaranteed rotation spot they gave to Floyd, but given that it was only a one year deal at four million, they could easily move on from him earlier. Rotation is going to be good regardless of him anyway.

With the pitching staff looking primed for a big year, this would be the perfect season for Santana to put it all together at the plate.

God if this team hits, look out...

The comment about our depth is certainly a good point. We have a deep enough group of pitchers that we can hopefully put together five guys that give us consistent performances.

Kipnis needs to have a bounce back year, would do wonders for the lineup.

How far is Frazier away from getting a chance at the MLB level?

How far is Frazier away from getting a chance at the MLB level?

3 years?

Spent all last season at Lake County, so I assume he'll start at high-A this year. Next year is probably a mostly AA year, and the year after that a AAA year. Obviously, if he starts destroying the competition that could speed things up, but he has not done that to this point.

Three years at least..he just completed Low A And they'll probably take it slow with him just like they did with Lindor, and he's been a lot better prospect than Frazier.

Frazier will never make the big leagues if he doesn't improve his contact rate.

The games I've watched of Frazier, he was overall unimpressive.

Sidenote: there are going to be a lot of broken hearts in here when this team inevitably starts out 10-20.

Speaking of prospects, will Lindor be starting the season in Cleveland or Columbus?
