The 2015 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
They have a big time SKIPPER tho....

This team is straight doodoo. Bullpen is atrocious. 6 of the 9 regulars are hitting under .250. Haven't won two in a row since the second and third games of the season. Getting clobbered by the division. Less than a 3:1 K:BB ratio. Terrible. Doodoo all around.

Only reason the Indians don't have the worst record in baseball is because they've played fewer games than the Brewers.

I'm not one for firing baseball coaches, because they don't have shit to do with the success of the team anyways.

You can either hit or you can't. The Indians can't and were never going to be able to.

I know this is sarcasm, but anyway, Francona makes questionable decisions frequently. He deserves credit for "changing the culture" around the Indians and getting a lot of his guys, but as far as actual managing goes, he leaves a lot to be desired.

Not advocating anything here, because players like him, and the positives outweigh the negatives, but I wish he was better in game.

Baseball coaches...:chuckle:

Blow the team up. Fire Francona. Should have traded Kluber when his value was highest. Tied to Face Mitt, Dirtbag, Bourn n Swish for way too long, Dolanz cheap n the renovations don't look like the concept art. Add in anything I missed.

I still believe Francona is too soft in Spring Training compared to others.

Trying to get into Baseball and figured I'd go with the Indians since I've been following the Cavaliers for a nice while now and it makes sense to me. There are no professional home teams in Virginia for some reason anyway so we all just adopt teams and I'm not really cool with Washington sports.

Honestly it was the Ken Burns documentary that sorta inspired me to give this sport a real chance, heh... I've always been a football and basketball fan but never had much interested in Baseball until now.

I think it does seem like a sport that requires patience to learn and get interested in, and even patience just to watch. But the idea of something a bit more calm and slow paced and strategically-minded actually does suit me fairly well. Its still a bit overwhelming though as someone who's just trying to learn to appreciate this thing by myself. I forgot how it is to first get in a sport and not know certain rules or anyone's name etc.

And holy crap! do they play a huge amount of games per season... Its a little much isn't it??

It's 2015 and Bartolo Colon would be the Indians ace just like he was 17 years ago... :chuckle:

Is Bartolo the fattest big four athlete outside of football?

If the season continues to spiral downward will Antonetti be held accountable by management or will the Dolans just look the other way since no one goes to the games anyways?
Drafting has been poor for years and that does not seem to be brought off enough by the Cleveland media. The lack of talent in the farm system over the past 10 years have been subpar, and the team has had to rely way too much on trades and getting players from other organizations.

They already used the scouting dept as a scapegoat a few years ago.

Shook that up and the drafting has been much better since.
