The 2016 Tank Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Lol please no to Garrapolo. We don't need another Matt Cassel, Matt Flynn on our hands.

Garrapolo just goes to show how fucking great Belichick's system really is.

I'm frustrated because I know what the talking point is going to be for this week. The media locally and nationally have settled on it.

Dave Chudowsky opened with it. "THE BROWNS MADE A MISTAKE BY NOT DRAFTING WENTZ"

I swear to god this town....

The Browns are just some amazing tornado of suck all around it seems.

So many here thinking about future QB's like RG3 is a bum. Maybe I'm messed up in the head but I see him long term.

Lets see what happens. Lots of other area's we know needs fixed.

We got are butts beat today however I thought RG3 looked good. Dropped passes tipped pass and poor D. I don't feel any QB could help us today.

You could swap RG3 for Wentz today and still get are ass kicked

Man I saw like ten shitty throws and I only watched the last quarter and a half

Like not even close to close to receivers

Would you guys literally suck his dick after each Browns loss this year if it guaranteed the Browns would get him and a true franchise Quarterback in this year's draft?

@Lee @Rob
Define "franchise quarterback".

I missed the last Q
That would explain it. You should probably watch that to get a more complete assessment of the situation.

In the first half RG3 looked serviceable...but even then, there was nothing to indicate he’d even be an above-average QB...let alone a franchise quarterback.

Still just one game. I seen several well placed passes first half and balls dropped. He had connected on a few deep passes and a good run play on a fake out.

The game momentum looked good in late first half. The big change was eagles converting on 4th down that lead to a touchdown and the high snap that went over RG3's head for a safety. The fake punt didn't exactly help either

RG3 reminded me of Tim Couch circa 2001-2002ish.

That was the vibe I got.

A guy who could have succeeded in a more controlled environment than what we saw today.

Define "franchise quarterback".

Consistent top 10 passer, SB capable guy, that lasts 10-15 years. Somewhere between Tom Brady and Eli Manning.

You're not guaranteed where he falls on that spectrum, just that he's in there.

Define "dick"

The thing you sucked after every loss to guarantee the QB.

You can't separate the trade downs and what the Browns did or didn't do with them. You can justify any misguided personnel decision that way. The end result is what matters, really.

And yeah, it's whining. It totally is. Guilty.

Completely disagree with that. If there were good enough players there (and there always have been), the responsibility falls on the FO to choose the right guys.

This team isnt ready for a rookie QB. I am glad we are tanking and didnt take a QB, dont want to ruin another career like we did Couch. Let the team come together, let the receivers grow up some, then we can get our QB this draft or next.

Sorry to say we are worse off than many expansion teams.

If this regime doesn't solve the QB problem soon they aren't going to survive. And by "soon" I mean, like, next year. If they go 6-26 or 7-25 in their first two years without coming up with a solution to the QB issue it's highly likely we're going to be looking for a new front office and coaching staff.

The regime that finds the true QB of the future will be the one that sticks.
