I dont get the running down of the Rose Bowl. Just because a playoff exists the Rose Bowl is pointless? I dont agree.

The playoff needs to be 8 though. Sorta bullshit all the way around. UCF hasnt lost a game in two years and hasnt had a shot at a national title.

Theres just no legitimate way you can definitively say you get the 4 best teams most years.

I agree it needs to be 8. Alot of the times these championship games are pointless. Teams like UCF need to get their shot. Get rid of the championship games and give two weeks after the regular season to start playing the playoffs. Have two weeks between games.
 
Fuck that game was exhaustive.

Feels good to be champs again though.

If Martell is the QB next year, yikes. They need to find a way to get the power run game back.

Hell of a season no matter what at this point. Took the conference and ripped Michigan’s was. I can’t ask for anything else.
 
I'd be nice if d1 College Football could stop being the only sport where you can legitimately question if you have a true national champion.

So many years throughout it's history where you can honestly question the title winners legitimacy.

Some years where there is a pretty decent pile of evidence they, in fact, didn't pick the right national champion. The '94 Penn State team. The Utah team that blew up Alabama the year a 2 loss Florida team won the title game. The multiple Boise teams that went undefeated and then won their BCS game.

Agreed. Still bittersweet. As much as I say I wont be salty, I still will be when they announce it tomorrow.

People trying to tell us “the Rose Bowl though!!” Is annoying too. Haskins probably wont even be playing.

Bowl games just have very little luster anymore. Will be fun for a few hours I suppose.

I can excuse this prior to all this garbage. Bowl ties-in, history, etc.

There's no excuse for it any more really. They've killed it off and replaced it with something worse.
