Dream Team 4: Golden State Warriors

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
26th out of 30 in strength of schedule, and the best team they have beaten is the Raptors lol. Curry having a scorching, amazing start, and an incredibly lucky schedule to start the season.

It's an accomplishment, but man wish our schedule was as easy as theirs or the Spurs to start the season. Ya either that or have Kyrue back, either of those would be swell.
huh? the schedules really aren't that different; the warriors so-called "sos" is lower mainly because they've played 2 extra games than the cavs and they happened to be against bad teams.

cavs are 6-2 against teams .500 or better while golden state is 8-0, and both teams have played most of their toughest games at home. and no, the raptors are not the best team golden state has beaten. they beat the bulls....the same team the cavs lost against.

acting as though the schedules are worlds apart is just sour grapes.

Rose was hurt. Bulls with Rose healthy (I know ots an oxymoron but even at the level hes shown this year) is one of the tougher matchups for GS as its hard to hide Curry on defense with both Butler and Rose and they uave bigs who can score.

They beat them in GS last year and its because of thr matchup

By the end of the season odds are no one is going to be looking at these early schedules and talking about how hard the Cavs schedule was and how easy the Warriors schedule. For instance, the Clippers aren't worse than the Pistons. That won't hold up.

Funny, two days ago on KNBR, I heard Marc Spears and Tom Tolbert were discussing the relative ease of the Warriors schedule. It isn't some closely guarded NBA conspiracy. The trap games for the Warriors were traveling to Houston then New Orleans the next day, a few days later an away game against Memphis, then later going from the Staples Center to a home match up against Chicago in Oakland the next day. It just so happened New Orleans, Memphis, and Chicago weren't playing particularly well against anyone at those times. Now they are entering a very easy stretch of weak opponents until Christmas. Their own flagship radio station is saying the same thing.

There's no sour grapes, you're just looking for them. It's factual that they have had one of the easiest schedules in the league, and are now entering a part of their schedule that is literally a joke.

It's not some conspiracy against them, they have had a cake schedule. It's a hot start, an easy schedule, and a great team combing for a great record. I'd honestly be surprised if they didn't end up 28 (?) wins before they play us.

Besides, I think they are driven because they of the talk that they are the luckiest Champs ever.

Golden State has played 4 games vs teams who are above .500 and 6 games vs teams with 5 or less wins..

We've played 7 and 2 such games, respectively

Golden State is 100% healthy. That's insane to even say.

The degree of our injury situation is horrendous compared to the Warriors. I'm trying to think, if they were experiencing our injury situation right now, what would that look like?

I firmly believe that even if they lost 1 of their main guys, they'd have some losses. Their record is flawless because their health is flawless.

If they lost one guy, whether it's Iggy, Barnes, Draymond, or Ezeli; they'd have lost games.

If they lost Klay, Ezeli and Iggy, they'd have the same damn record the Cavaliers have.

I'm firmly convinced that if we had their health situation; we'd be 16-0 too.

The guys we're missing are such difference makers.

I'm convinced that even if the Warriors lost one of their fringe guys like Livingston or Bogut, they would not have a flawless record.

The Cavaliers are down their best offensive player, our best wing defender, and our starting center. If Golden State had that same degree of injury situation, they'd easily have 3-4 losses if not more.

All this whining about the Warriors is wearing pretty thin. The Cavs have a long way to go to get on the same level. They need to put the work into their defense and offense.

The Warriors have had 4 pretty good years of continuity and health, but have also changed coaches halfway thru.

They drafted well and made some really good trades while keeping their payroll low. They built the whole thing very organically, really did their homework, and hit on some lesser picks(Klay, Draymond)

We lucked out, unprecedented luck. That's what persuaded Lebron to come back, what got us Love, and allowed us to sign some cheap vets and trade our excess picks for Moz and Shump and JR.

The Cavs are the paid for team. The cavs are the frontrunners who were assembled in one year. The Warriors are the ones who have put in the work.

Fuck the Warriors, I hate them and all, but pretending like the Cavs deserve it and they don't because they are lucky? We are lucky to even be in this position.

Not gonna try and derail this thread down this line of thinking too much, but I wholeheartedly disagree. Other than LeBron and the min vet guys, basically every key player on this team was acquire through the draft, or through trades of the guys we got through the draft. Just like Golden State. And really, you should really count LeBron among that group too since he was drafted here and is more a Cavalier than anything else, and will be more a Cavalier than anything else once he retires.

The Cavs have put in quite the work too. They may not have made as savvy moves as Golden State or been as successful at every turn, but to put the Cavs in the same category as the Heat of the Lakers or someone like that isn't fair.

Lol the whole bought vs built debate

Yes we are bought
Yes the warriors are bought

And yes the titles will come with an asterisk saying bought

No wait they won't

So let us be bought idgaf

I just don't think saying they are lucky and we aren't is very fair because we wouldn't be in this without a lot of luck. Now the Cavs have to do the work that the Warriors have already done.

No team that loses it's second and third best players to fluky injuries in the playoffs should be considered lucky.

Plus, this team drafted LeBron and Kyrie and traded a guy they drafted for Love. Yeah, they got LeBron back but he was their guy from the beginning.

Yes, their role players were traded for, but they were all re-signed in a town where they'd have never gotten these guys as Free Agents in the first place.

It's not like the Marlins where they bought a team that they broke up a year later.

Also, who fucking cares if a team is bought or not?
