This is a idiotic thread. Yes, as of Dec. 5, 2013 everyone in our organization would trade Dion for Drummond and no one in Detroit would.

How is it ruining the thread? I am not bashing him or attacking him personally to resort to pms, everything is within the parameters of the Andre Drummond thread. My question is a legitimate basketball question for a guy that thinks the protagonist of this thread is atrocious based on the myriad of stats he presents. Did he answer my question? Can you backread?

Why? We needed players at the 2-5 positions. Tristan was pretty awful his freshman year, Anthony Parker was our two, we had a dumpster fire at the three, and Varejao (a hybrid F/C) was our five. Given that we had drafted a high upside guy in Tristan at the four the previous year, I don't think it was unreasonable for us to draft anyone at the 2, 3, or 5.

Plus, Dion was a better prospect than Barnes coming out of college.

I'm not arguing with regards to position. The point is that the bolded comment here is not accurate. I think 4/5 mocks have Barnes ahead of Waiters, and for good reason. To say that Waiters and Drummond were regarded somewhat equally would be more accurate, but that doesn't change my point about scarcity and value.

I saw Drummond's stat line and said, "Wow. Looks like he played a fantastic game." Then I saw the highlights and he looks like Deandre Jordan. He never got boxed out and defenses chose to rotate off of him throughout the entire game.

Maybe people like Torn wouldn't be so obnoxious in their hate of Drummond if the loudest Drummond supporters weren't a bunch of incessant, insufferable children.

You don't seem to understand that his repeated refusals to answer your question have already made your point. You continuing to ask the question and him continuing not to answer doesn't add anything. You want him to admit that you were right, and he is never, ever going to do that no matter how many times you keep asking the question.
