Stats and more stats....
- Surrendering only 19.1 ppg, the Browns are ranked 4th in ppg given up. The 3 teams ranked ahead of them have only played 8 games (Det, KC, Mia).
- The Browns gave up 26.25 ppg during their first 4 games in Pettine's new system. They've given up 13.4 ppg in the 5 games since. The only bad outing was the 24 points given up to the Jaguars, but 17 of those points were caused by 3 turnovers in the red zone, leading to 17 points that weren't entirely the defense's fault.
- The Browns have the ONLY pass defense in the NFL with more INTS than TDs given up.
- The Browns Opposing passer rating is 72.2, which is #1 in the NFL. It was 84.1 in 2013.
- Pettine with the Jets: 88.1 passer rating before Pettine. 58.8, 77.1, 69.6, & 78.2 while he was there. 86.5 & 112.8 after he left.
- Pettine with the Bills: 84.4 rating before Pettine. 74.9 while he was there. 79.6 after he left. I see a trend here.
