I'm on vacation and my dogs are at an awesome boarding place in PA where they get to roam the countryside during the day. I miss them terribly.

My dog is getting some sort of black splotching on the bottom of her underbelly. Anybody have any idea what this is before I decide to take her in?

I have been looking at getting a dog being that I just go a house and would like to have someone/something there with me. I have been torn between breeds, in the past I have had a golden retriever and a black lab. This time I have a co worker who has a pit bull and absolutely loves the dog, said it was very easy to train and is one of the most loyal and compassionate dogs she has had. I was wondering your guys opinions on pit bulls as well as good breeds to get, As always thanks for the input.
