yea but he's high enough that its ridiculously difficult to hit him with a bow. I've managed to hit him with dragonrend once but he didn't even land. Im level 46 so its most likely an Ancient Dragon so I'm not sure if dragonrend still works on dragons of that strength. If this doesnt work then I guess its not the end of the world because im not a mage character anyway. I'll just try winterhold on some alternate character another time to get the achievement.

PS3 or Xbox? I've run into the broken backwards flying dragon on PS3, but never on Xbox.

I've been debating whether or not to get this game for awhile now. I loved Fallout 3 and New Vegas, but I could not get into Oblivion. I think that part of the issue was that I was so used to using VATS during fights that when I started playing Oblivion; I was annoyed that my battles consisted of me running backwards and trying to hit whatever was chasing me with fireballs. Not sure that anyone else has had that experience, but while playing Skyrim; how does an average battle go for you?

I'm like level 15...maybe? Haven't done blacksmith or anything like that yet (besides a lil alchemy). I havent had the ingots. Should i start doing this? Should i focus on just one?

Finally got this game.....and its AWESOME. Only 6 hours and at maybe like level 6. No guides, just exploring and experimentation. I'm a dark elf that is focusing on destruction, one handed, stealth, and smithing. Having a blast, and building your character feels much more organic than Oblivion.

Got my ass handed to me by some giants.....fuck that shit.

Yeah I battle up close and didnt have a chance this early. I usually would go the stealthy bowman route in elder scrolls games....but with dual wielding I wanted to try something different. I rock destruction in one hand and an axe in the other, battle mage style with light armor and a little bit of stealth.

Smithing seems like its going to get very useful as the game progresses.

Smithing in this game is super easy. Really wish that I had started doing it earlier. What's you guys favorite weapon? Mine is the Ebony Warhammer. Thing kicks some serious ass.

welp, finally defeated alduin and now i get to summon dragons

time to kick off the civil war quests, bet the imperials didn't expect to wage war against the stormcloaks and a giant dragon

I just got off the phone with best buy trying to find ot where the fuck my computer is. You guys are killing me with this all this great talk about this game. I have the fucking DVD sitting right in front of me and my new monitor is great, but I can't do shit but watch all the trailers and game play videos untill I get my new cpu. FUCK!!!

I just started the part where to go find Alduin for the final battle. The outside of the ruins sucks hard. Damn Draugr Warlord kicks my ass
