Now that the run for the Cavs is all but over — what’s the thoughts on the Warriors ?

Obviously bias opinions will abound; however, (if possible) how can you put this run into context somehow, someway in a different lense?

Nothing to be ashamed of here as a Cavs fan.. Battling them 4 years in a row is nothing to sneeze at... Being apart of this rivalry (2nd best in NBA history in my opinion) and actually taking a title of your own, in a ridiculous fashion was amazing.. (I’m sure the Suns, Sonics and Jazz wish they could have snuck one from the Bulls run)....

Just wondering how folks feel all together now that it’s over ?

To be honest the Warriors have drafted well. Yeah they got lucky with Durant but they were a great team before him. It shows you don't have to be a top 5 draft pick just talented and willing to work your craft.

And unlike the tick players enjoy playing with Curry.

It's like some snot nose kid just assigned the best players in the league to the same team. It's boring. They're the best team ever, obviously.

Yea... I mean before there was Durant and Cousins there was a championship contender out west winning 67 games and a defending champion winning 73 games...

Their stars were a 7th pick, 11th pick and a 2nd rounder...

Exactly plus if you're being honest I would love to have Curry, Thompson and the ball puncher Draymond on the Cavs

Still pissed at them.

First of all, they’re the best team ever our together with more paths to victory than any team ever. They have generational talents who can play both on and off the ball who between them have TWELVE SEASONS in which they scored more efficiently than Michael Jordan.

With that said, they’re beyond annoying and arrogant. They have never showed the Cavs even the slightest bit of respect even though their actions did (signing KD to beat LeBron). Curry’s dancing and mouth guard bullshit, Green’s bullshit...beyond annoying.

Also annoying is how somehow, nobody ever leaves for more money. Are they getting stuff under the table or what?

Take Looney today—he signed a ONE YEAR minimum deal with them. This guy was a plus defender with nice length and rebounding skills. He was probably their fourth best defender behind Green, Bell, and Iggy. There HAD to be teams willing to offer more to a young defender who’s improving. Nobody ever left that team.

Best regular season team of all-time. But, as far as I'm concerned, any semblance of a Cavs-Warriors rivalry ended when KD went there. He's just not a true part of that rivalry.

They may win 3 more championships, and I think they'll get knocked by those who played because of guys like KD and Cousins going there. Just look at how much the old heads crushed LeBron for Miami until he won here, and some still crush him for it.

The pinnacle of modern basketball imo.

Threes, defense, pace, positionless, length, systematic basketball.

Still susceptible to elite iso heavy players/teams though. KD helped fix that but that Houston series showed some chinks. Unfortunately also imo Cousins ends that. He and KD can iso 1-5.

They "drafted well" in large part because Dell Curry bullied the Twolves into passing junior over twice.

And this is not an ambiguous story like with Kobe, who was a 17-year-old with very little leverage; these are Dell's own words, with Steph being a known entity unlike Kobe at the time.

They "built through the draft" in the sense that Steph's ankles gave him a cap hold of no more than $18MM up to the 2017 offseason, and because their supporting FAs, even if they were not drafted, generally wanted to come for lower cost than elsewhere; also, it's a lot easier to retain your drafted players in the Bay than elsewhere.

They are an abomination against god and man.

as long as they beat lebron they wont get crushed. everyone knows lebron will lose, but because he's the GOAT, to beat lebron is to beat a worthy opponenet. if lebron didn't exist the warriors would get way more criticism and hate, but because they beat lebron it's still looked at as an accomplishment. at this point no one would watch the NBA if lebron didn't exist. they'd rather beat him than win a title

Good drafting and development.

Luckiest team ever in terms of opponent injuries in the playoffs.

Favored by the League.

Everything they've done and will do with Durant on the team is meaningless and warrants an asterisk since they were only able to sign him due to the NBAPA being short-sighted idiots and his contract coming up at the exact perfect moment.
