If they need Wiggins included in the deal, then they need to make up the difference between Wiggins and Waiters. The two options are not going to be something like Waiters+Bennett and picks or Wiggins+bennett and a pick, that's silly. More like if they want Wiggins they need to give us something back that they actually control past the season. See how much they actually don't want Waiters/value Wiggins and how much of that is just opening bid bs. I'm thinking Dieng, a future first, and the option to switch firsts down the line would about make up the difference between the two.

You're probably right. I either read an article or heard a podcast (can't remember) that was talking to a Minny source. The one thing us Cavs fans haven't been understanding is how dire the Minny ticket sales and general financial health is right now. Apparently, THAT'S WHY Flip and Taylor keep talking about how they're going to the playoffs this year. Their sales -- including the most lucrative corporate sponsorships and suites -- have ground to a halt. They're sweating money and worried that if they go full re-build, sales will only get worse.

At a minimum, if they must go full rebuild, they want it to be around a young, hyped, exciting player like Wiggins. They can sell that kind of rebuild far better than Bennett and Waiters (already seen as busts or non-stars, even if we don't agree) and vague future first-rounders.

The Minny person went so far as to say that the Wolves have already approached major Minny-based companies to do sponsorship and advertising deals with Wiggins, really build a hype machine around him as a way to jack up the fanbase and get interest flowing again.

When you factor in this perspective, all the sudden it makes sense why Flip/Taylor might indeed hold a hard-line on Wiggins -- and if they can't get him might prefer taking a package of proven vets from another team. In the long-run, it's a dumb move but in the short-run, they're financially stressed and desperate to turn it around.

If they've already tried to market Wiggins, they're bent over the barrel and Griffin should know it. At this point, I'll give 'em Wiggins - on my terms.

Wiggins, Bennett, Joe Harris and Lucas 3 for Love, Dieng, Robinson III and Ronnie Turiaf. No draft picks.

They can sell the last 2 #1s overall. I'll keep my picks to continue to replace talent and pick up a shot blocker on a cheap, 1 year deal and another prospect.

If they don't want it, good luck selling those skyboxes.

If we were to somehow pry Dieng with the deal, I wouldn't expect any picks coming back too.

whatever, its a Safari

It could be a way to take some garbage instead of giving away a 1st rnd pick. However, rumors are rumors and I don't believe anything until it actually happens. I root for the players we have at the time the game begins.

Bruce Drennan just dropped a rumor where Philly gets Waiters, T-Wolves get Wiggins, and we get Brewer and Love.

It wouldn't surprise me if Wiggins was training like a mad man amidst all this trade talk.

I would drive up to Cleveland and file rape charges against Flip Saunders if that happened ...Awful trade!

How are you able to listen to him? His voice alone makes me want to jam a knife in my ear let alone the actual meaning of his words.

For arguments sake, lets say you are able to listen to him. Even then, how in anyone's mind is that a good use of their time? And who the hell are these people who call the show and ask him questions? Do they not have the internet? He doesn't know anything about anything and never has. Hey, lets call some TV guy who has no sources and does no research on the topics he covers.
