I swear I read Bron called Dion and told him to be ready a week in advance. Not sure where all this is coming from. Windbag is on the outside looking in plus ESPN mouthpiece. As I keep saying I pray Dan Shuts the DB out of the coming media excitement.

I'm not sure where the unbridled hate for Brian Windhorst is coming from. He has done a few chats with RCF fans, for no compensation mind you, every year. He is also seeing his role with ESPN expand every year. It must be a challenging balancing act being the featured national NBA insider on a national network while still having strong ties to the Cleveland area. His family still resides in Akron, where he also resides in the offseason.

Without hearing the context, it seems sort of strange that LaVine said "He'll bring" and not "He would bring."

However, he also said this:

Dime: You mentioned you and Andrew Wiggins are buddies. If the trade happens, how excited will you be for him to join you in Minnesota?
ZL: That would definitely be a very exciting team, I know that. He’s a hard worker, and he’ll bring a lot of excitement to Minnesota.

Take this with a grain of salt. I've communicated with my friend in the T-Wolves org. I will note that he does not have direct lines to Saunders or Taylor. He is in the front office and interacts with players and execs inside the org, but he's not someone involved with what actually goes down with trade. His position does require advance notice of certain things.

Like any job, scuttlebutt flows through the organization. Towards the end of the day today that scuttlebutt indicated that the Cavaliers have delivered the last set of trade parameters they will consider in regards to Kevin Love. Who is included is unknown, but the word is that it does not include Andrew Wiggins and that the Cavs have been unwilling to include him. It's been discussed, but inclusion of Wiggins requires more than the Wolves would be willing to give.

So, the scuttlebutt is that this is the Cavs final offer essentially. Minnesota can agree to work within the framework of what the Cavs have presented and they have until the end of the week to respond. If they do not positively respond, the Cavs will move on with other moves they have in place and pull out completely of the pursuit of Kevin Love right now. I have no idea what the Cavs' alternatives are.

Further, the Wolves think it is a bluff and are unlikely to respond positively. So, if the Minnesota scuttlebutt is correct, we may expect to see moves next week that will take the Cavs completely out of the Kevin Love discussion as they seek to firm up their roster IF they are not bluffing. Taylor refuses to come off his high asking price and Saunders thinks it's a bluff.

My own two cents is that Minnesota is taking a real risk if the internal rumors are true. If the Cavs move other assets (such as Waiters, etc) in another trade or a series of trades, they will signal clearly a withdrawal from the race for Love and the price for him could drop through the floor.

Expectations inside the org continue to be that Kevin Love will be in their starting lineup at the start of the season. They are preparing across the org in anticipation that he's staying and are also getting ready to launch a media blitz locally in September in an attempt to thwart negativity in Minnesota towards Love. They want the community to entice him to stay and are investing in a marketing push to that end. That could also be a feint, but it is real - the money is being spent and the campaign is being built. They have scrapped campaigns before, so it could be show.

Here, here. I could appreciate that he was uber-conservative with his reporting in regards to Lebron's free agency for fear that the region might get let down all over again. He did a really nice podcast with my buddy Craig over at WFNY after the decision and went as far as to say if that meant someone else got the scoop first, so be it. I think he's gotten a bit of a bad wrap as a "traitor." Being impartial is his job.

And he's done nothing but take shots and try to create as much negativity surrounding the Cavs as he possibly could. He's also been horrible at his job. He doesn't have any inside information and his basketball knowledge is awful.

I think the mocking of him as an insider starts with him being embarrassingly inaccurate about James both in '10 and this summer. Same goes for what he said about Irving. And even suggesting the two didnt want to play together. Talk about relaying false info straight from a nervous Heat source. I know he is being accused of being two faced this summer. Acting as though he likes Cleveland on Cle radio interviews but then shitting on Cleveland on Mia radio. Havent heard the interviews people are referring to so I have no idea if its true.

One problem I have with him is his recent article that flat out lied about James recruiting guys like Allen, Redd, Ariza when he was the with the Cavs. He knows for a fact that James never recruited when he was with the Cavs. In fact I remember Windhorst writing an article back in 09 saying Ariza was a done deal to the Cavs but James refused to talk with him. Redd is on record as saying a major turnoff back in 05 was James refusing to talk with him. Windhorst knows these things yet still put his name on the article from a week or so ago.

Sometimes the truth hurts.

Which Kyrie adamantly said was completely untrue the entire time. So we're buying into the fact that he's sitting on what he knew with LeBron to not get our hopes up, why not sit on the Kyrie story instead of throwing it out there right when we're trying to make a run? He apparently can sit on stories that would be positive for the Cavs, but any shred of negativity he hears is going right out there.

Kyrie should have controlled his father's mouth a little better, I'll leave it at that. Smart fans will realize reporters need to do their jobs, and if you work for ESPN as a featured journalist, your job isn't to be Dan Gilbert's personal PR director of positive spin. Hey, BTW, Cavaliers are about to become the favorites to win the East. Not exactly the right time to be a negative nancy IMHO.

Ya Windhorst sucks. He hasn't been good since for while. He used to have legit contacts on the inside of the Cavs org or at least it seemed. But his opinion pieces, hypothetical trades and free agent signings are awful.

An even bigger problem with the Kyrie story was that he didn't have the choice of leaving. He had the majority of the country believing that Kyrie was a free agent and was leaving the Cavs. That was not even possible. He had at least four more years here. That's what made the story so dumb. But then again, Windy does not have the best grasp on the way NBA contracts work or the salary cap. Remember when he tweeted that the Heat had $55 million in cap room when they were $10 million over the cap?

I think your friend is incorrect, but will see. Too many items have line up for the deal not to be in place. Bennett - Wiggins - Love have all shut it down. The Wolves have signed their 14th (Hummel) & 15th (Mo Williams) player under contact in the last 5 days...you don't do that unless you have it planned where JJ Barea and other assets are going.

The one thing that I hope happens is Bennett goes to the 76ers and Wiggins goes to the Wolves along with Young. But I' m getting scared about these rumors of Waiters going to the 76ers....Bennett + Young + Wiggins going to the Wolves.....Love & Brewer coming to us...

I'm excited about Love...but nervous we are giving up 3 assets instead of 2.

Idc what Lebron wants even he'd understand us not trading Wiggins, waiters, and Bennett for Love.

Think he actually loves Waiters so there's that
