I like his court awareness. Quite impressive for a 20 year old. It translates to his passing game, finding holes in the opposing defense, playing the lanes, rebounding. I like his motor and speed too.

I don't like his shooting percentages. Below 70% from the line is a red flag to me. He can slash, but he is not strong enough to be effective around the rim in the NBA. I guess he could add muscle in the next couple of years.

His hair should translate well at the NBA level.

Overall, I'd have gone a different direction.

He's got two years to work on his shooting in Europe, and even then he'll only be 22.

You can't teach his intangibles though, as this guy definitely plays his ass off and seems to have a good feel for the game in general.

While I like Cedi Cheese, I will be referring to him as The Scourge of Macedonia.
Nope, you are both wrong. I have some contacts in Turkey. He plans to go by Cedi The Entertainer come 2017.

Cavs made a good decision by drafting him. He is one of the best young player in Europe. He has more playing time than any other young player in Europe. He was the MVP of U20 basketball championship in Europe and also a member of Turkish National Team. He had some injury problems this season (not long term, all of them because of damage) This summer he will play in U20 European Championship and European Basketball Championship. He will be the starting SF in Turkish National Team this summer.

The guy has continuous development. A few years ago while he was playing in youth categories, his biggest weakness was his defence. Now he is one of the best defenders in his team (Anadolu Efes is one of the best defensive team in Europe) He improved his rebounding and blocking ability this year. Biggest problem is his shooting mechanic and percentage, hope he can improve it. Also he needs to add some muscles.

I saw some comments about him that he will be the next Goran Dragic or Hedo Turkoglu. That's not true. He is more like Manu Ginobili to me.

He has a very good personality. Young but determined, well behaved person. I'm looking forward to see him with Cavs in 2017-2018 season.

Thank you very much for your input. I have a question.

You mentioned that he is going to be the starting small forward for his team. I've seen him labeled here as a shooting guard, and I've also seen his height reported as both 6'6", and 6'8". That's 198 cm v. 203 cm, which is pretty significant. How tall is he really, and do you think his NBA position can be small forward?

His name pronounces in Turkish Language as "Jedi". Not Cheddy.

Wow. I've never really been here before. Ground Zero of a new Cavs meme. He's "Jedi".

Well, I think we've got enough Star Wars geeks around here to take off with that one....

He was 198 cm 2 years ago but now he is 203 cm. He will play as SF in Turkish National Team because there is no quality SF in Turkey and he can fill that position with his height and skills. He played as SG,SF and even PF sometimes with his current club Anadolu Efes. But I think he will play as SG in NBA. If he adds lots of muscles, he can play as SF in NBA too but he is more likely a SG for NBA.

I like that Griff said he compared himself to Trevor Ariza...means he is familiar with the NBA, seeing as how Ariza isn't exactly a household name worldwide. Plus, he broke the taboo of comparing himself with another white Euro wing.

I agree, good catch. He now knows he can be on an good NBA team so I am sure with his apparent great work ethic, he will improve in so many ways.

This will work out better than Christian Eyenga.

Agreed. Not sure if we'll ever see him in a Cavs uniform, but something tells me we'll see this kid playing meaningful minutes off the bench for a playoff team in a few years.

Who knows, maybe he gets paid so much in Turkey that he never comes over, but when you look at his tape, consider his age and alleged work ethic, I think he finds himself in the league sooner than later. He looks to have the athletic ability (much more than Harris) and clearly has a great feel for the game.

As Melizei said, I see him as an SG in the NBA. The Cavs could potentially need to replace both Shump and JR over the next two seasons, so perhaps we see Cedi in two years.
