I am so happy that we once again have a need for a thread like this.

(Apologies to @rabman_gold since I know he's usually done it in the past, but I figured since the Cavs were so close to clinching that we may as well get this thing started.)

Cavs' current magic number to clinch the #2 seed is 4.
Cavs' current magic number to clinch the Central Division is 4.

Tiebreakers the Cavs currently hold:
Over Chicago, 2-1 (1 game remaining)
Over Washington, 2-1 (1 game remaining)
Over Toronto, 3-1 (won season series)
Over Charlotte, 3-0 (won season series)
Over Milwaukee, 2-1 (1 game remaining)
Over Boston, 2-0 (2 games remaining)
Over San Antonio, 1-1 (division leader)
Over Indiana, 2-2 (division leader)
Over Miami, 2-2 (division leader)

Tiebreakers the Cavs currently trail:
To Atlanta, 3-1 (lose season series)

IT'S ALMOST PLAYOFF TIME!!!

I was wondering what the magic number was.

Man, I missed this time of the year.

As far as regular season goes, I'm interested in the magic number for clinching the 2 seed. Then we can rest our guys with nothing to worry about.

Currently sits at 14. I'll update the original post with that info, as well.

He certainly has the right to come in here and post it in tabular form...

Down to 4 for a playoff spot, 12 for the second seed, 11 for the division title. OP has been updated.

Might also want to track the magic number to finish ahead of the spurs. That's the one team in the west where we definitely need home court against because of their massive finals experience.

Man I've missed this over the last 5 years. C'mon Cavs, gotta make it happen!!!

EDIT: It's 15. Sounds a little strange because the Cavs only have 14 left to play, but that's what it is.
