The mystery deal discussed lol (take your wild guesses)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I remember Windhorst saying around the draft we had talks with the Bobcats about some players. I know Felton was mentioned which we have no need for him now, but BW mentioned that we were talking about a few different scenerios with them so who knows....

Andy is a very important part of this team. Saying otherwise is ludicrous (not that you are). He brings energy, defense, and all the little things that take us forward and keep the team moving throughout the game. Ben and Z are old and can't hustle like AV. What I'm saying is that I'd love to keep Andy here if possible, and most people think that it's important to keep him here unless a great deal comes along. There is nothing wrong with that. Some people are overboard, but a select few really, while you're generalizing people for complimenting his play as of late.

I agree he would be impossible to replace energy wise, well no timpossible but you know what I mean. He does play good D which is a plus and I do love the hustle. I like the guy I would love to keep him, but if the trade made us better now, and in the long run then i'd have to say good bye. I just want what is best for the team not Varejao.

Maybe once he realizes that nobody will give him the 40 million a year he wants he will sign with the Cavs on a discount (doubt it) because he wants to win.

Props to your trades, DaJamesGang. In terms of 3 way trades, they're both decently realistic and look at teams' needs.

Throw some money at McDyess, then trade AV, Wally and 1st for G.Wallace/Okafor and I think we are good to go...

We'll have payroll like the Knicks several years ago but who cares, that team would be the deepest and sickest in the NBA. Lakers who?

If it came down to it.........to get that "player".......Id throw in JJ over Andy if needed.

Im gonna ignore this rumour about Varejao, Wally and a 1st round pick for a swingman and a bigman, and keep sayin what I been sayin.

Be that 3rd team that the Knicks and Cats need to complete their Curry, Wallace swap and send Wally to NYC and a 1st round pick to Charlotte.

We dont desperately need Okafor (even though hed still be great) and I dont wanna have to give up Andy (even though I would if we had to for someone like Wallace or Okafor).

Get that 3 way done Ferry.

I have to agree. I'm not sure if a trade like this is going to work out. But if the rumors are true that the main stickup on the Gforce/Curry deal is the knicks hesitation to get a 4 year deal with gforce, then we'd be idiots not to jump on the deal.

I'm still skeptical on the rumor, because it seems almost too good to be true for us. But if somebody else makes this deal when we cannot, I'll be quite upset.

What would we send in that Charlotte/Knicks trade? Wouldn't Wally be way too much salary for us to be a facilitator? Or do the salaries not have to match because Charlotte is under the cap (don't even know if they are, or if it even matters since Charlotte isn't the one taking on Wally's huge contracct)?

I really cant see Okafor being available and I cant see Haslem being available at this moment because he is looking great at the center position for the Heat.

I see GForce being the swingman in the deal but Im not sure about the Big. I just hope that big has some type of offensive game

Alright I came up this trade:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=990~2772~703~3440~2172~831~2753~2776~3016~1026&teams=30~5~30~30~30~18~18~18~5~5&te=&cash=

Ok AV equals Sasha and Jackson

IMO I think its to big of a trade and favors the cavs

Why for New York: No one like Eddy and he has to go, quentin richardison has a lot of money left on his deal and doesnt do crap for there team, and david lee contract expires this year and rumor is he is going to want a ton of money. Well if they really want lebron they should not sign anyone else to ridlicous contracts.

Ok so they get raymond felton he is un selfish and can defend. The knicks point guards arent very good so felton will help them out. Wally is an expiring. Sean May is still young and mike d might be able to help him devlop into a decent player. All players deals are up at the end of this season.

Why for Cavs: Lee would replace Andy, Morrison would replace wally and had depth, and G-Force will help on defense. We can use erics contract to trade for another big.

Why for Charlotte: Eddy will score down low for them, Andy will help them a lot, and Quention can help replace G-Force

The more i look at it the more its seems not likley to happen

Yeah **** Boone he's ass. I love Sean Will tho!

Hey all, it's been a while since I even looked at this site and this thread has got me hooked again.

I see the possibilities with Wallace/Okafor for Wally/Andy. I'm not sure that is in the best interest of the club though. If that deal is done, there is no free agent aquisition in 2010. The team of Mo Williams/Wallace/James/Okafor is your lineup going forward.

That being said, I love Okafor and I think he's a perfect long term fit for a big man. Wallace, I'm not so sure of. He gets a lot of points in transition and thats why his fg% has been relatively high. He's not a very good jump shooter so a Mike Brown half court offense would significantly downgrade his effectiveness in my opinion. So what I'm saying is on paper it looks great but when you move him into our situation, I don't think he's as good as everyone makes him out to be.

Dont forget Ben Wallace's contract will be an expirer next year....
