The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread (includes spoilers)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

Yeah I don't mind the deviation of
Bran and co. at Crasters.
Gotta do something to fill the time with him.

Same. It was kind of weird how much time they spent over at Craster's, but we've got a few episodes to kill until the big stuff happening in eight, nine, and ten. I'm just curious what will happen if/when Jon meets up with Bran. We're in uncharted waters here. :chuckles:

Also, you don't need to spoiler stuff that happened on tonight's episode. :)

DAT ENDING

And wasn't someone here saying we would never see Coldhands again? LOL!

We still haven't seen Coldhands. That was just a white walker.

Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

That was clearly Coldhands bro. On the horse.

It most definitely was not Coldhands. In fact he's probably been cut out of the show

Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

He was introduced last season as Coldhands.

When was this and on what show? :chuckles:

Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

He was never introduced last season. He's a random white walker.

Also, Coldhands wasn't a white walker in the books. He was a wight, meaning a dead human that was resurrected by the white walkers. As theSTEREO said, he's most likely been cut out of the show, or he would have met up with Bran by now.

And even that's kinda up for debate, no?

Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

The guy who plays Sam actually said in an interview that Coldhands had been cut. I believe the question was "what didn't make it into the show that book readers will be disappointed about?" and he said "Well, Coldhands certainly".

Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

I must have misread something somewhere in this thread along the lines. :chuckles:

That they're resurrected by the white walkers or that Coldhands is a wight? The wights clearly seem to serve the white walkers, so I think it's safe to assume that's who resurrects them. Coldhands is definitely a wight. He has the black hands that come from the blood draining into the extremities after death, which a white walker wouldn't have. There's also a reference in the book that he died long ago.

Or do you mean that just Coldhands may not have been resurrected by the white walkers? That, I guess, could be up for debate. My theory was that he was a wight that was being warged by Bloodraven, or that some sort of sorcery was worked on him so that he wouldn't follow the Others.

Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

This episode dropped some knowledge that even us book readers didn't know about. There was obviously a theory that Craster's sons became white walkers but it was never confirmed. The whole story at the wall/above the wall really has me intrigued. It may be just because it is different, but there are several different plot lines all converging and i'm excited to see what will result from it. Plus we are seeing signs of what Jon can become.

Could they have been more obvious when it comes to revealing who was working together to assassinate Joffrey? That's another book theory(albeit a very convincing one) that was just straight up confirmed. Oh, and I'm glad they kept the Margarey-Tommen scene from getting sexual. That would've been just weird. Oh, and we finally got introduced to Azor Ahai: Ser Pounce.

looks like my theory about
the boy killing Ygritte was nearly confirmed tonight as well. He is the best archer in his hamlet...yeah Ygritte is gonna get killed by a 10 year old.

edit: HOLY SHIT. HBO just confirmed that the Walker at the end is none other than the
night's king

Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

Now that it has been confirmed that the WW can turn humans into other WWs, does this perhaps give us a clue as to Benjen's final fate?

I doubt it myself. Seems they would just outright kill him.

It's good to be king.
