Q Arena Renovations (scoreboard, court, ...) and In-Game Experience

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Dewie The Bear night would be a nice addition. I am all about the dramatics. Makes for a more visceral experience overall.

I wish the Q had a "window" like a few of the newer stadiums out there.. Something looking up toward the skyline or just looking out at the night. Probably unrealistic, but I've seen it and I've liked it.

Or you could just paint a sky you'd like to see as opposed to seeing ridiculous amounts of snow, rain and grey skies.

Looks like the Pacers spent $16 Million. Dan might need to kick in a few bucks of his own.
It would probably cost 1/4 of the price now... Remember how much the price dropped on your big flat screen a month after you bought it? [emoji1]

I really like the tesla coil idea, just make sure it's big enough to make everyone's hair stand straight up.

the Q is bland, imo. i wish we got a new arena all together. but i know that wont happen with the way everything is set up downtown. i bet dan gilbert would put up some crazy ground breaking new age arena with plenty of glass, lights and TVs.

speaking of glass, lights, and dan gilbert. whats up with phase 2 of the casino.

The lighting in the Q is terrible...it's like greenhouse lighting or something...looks awful

If anyone wants to get a new arena, The Q isn't really that old. I think The Q is fine. With the way downtown is set up, where would we put in a new arena?

What about an arena in the Flats? It could feed right into the brand new reconstruction of the area and would be a massive boost to what they're trying to accomplish over there.

Grab dinner at the new steakhouse, see a game, head over to a bar or club afterwards. Out-of-towners will have a hotel within a stone's throw.

Bear in mind, I realize there is a -100% this ever happens.

I think the Cavs have got to be a good decade away from a new arena. I personally hope they move somewhere that will invigorate the not-so-bustling east side. My guess is that they'd remain in the same spot and keep making changes to the Q.

Agreed that they are a decade away, largely disagree on the prospect of moving the arena to an East Side suburb.

We've seen firsthand the economic hit a city like Atlanta is going to take due to the relocation of their stadium. This city is doing everything they can to revive what was a very depleted and economically fractured downtown. You fix it by giving a people a reason to go there (they've done a great job of improving this, by the way), not by taking venues away.

The Q is vital to garnering downtown traffic, especially in the dead of winter.
