Nobody from the Atlantic Division? Did the NBA finally decide that they were all terrible enough to warrant shrinking the Eastern Conference? :chuckle:

Ah fuck, put in Boston. Blah, that division does blow. Reason why division winners is useless in basketball.

Oh, no doubt. You could make a case for every team in the Central to get into the playoffs, and the Southeast has three practically guaranteed teams with one on the bubble (Charlotte) and the other as an upcoming playoff contender (Orlando).

But, the Atlantic? New York and Philly are rebuilding/tanking. Brooklyn is flat out terrible. Boston? Yech. Toronto will probably be the only Atlantic representative in this year's playoffs, and that's because somebody has to win that division.

1. Cleveland

5. Toronto

8. Indiana

1. Golden State
2. San Antonio
3. OKC
4. LAC
5. New Orleans
6. Houston
7. Memphis
8. Phoenix

I think Anthony Davis is just too good by next season that he doesn't single-handedly take them to 52+ wins.

I don't like Toronto at all. I really wouldn't be stunned to see them as one of the top 3 worst teams in the East.

1.) Cavs - Duh

2.) Heat - Given they need to stay healthy, so not the most confident with this pick. But if they are, I like them better than anyone else.

3.) Washington - I really liked that they got rid of Pierce, personally, I think they will take the next step next year.

4.) Bulls - Not as high on them, because they got a lot of questionable parts. How much does Gasol have left? Will Rose ever be healthy? Still a talented team

5.) Atlanta - I thought they were a one hit wonder. Still talented enough to be a playoff team.

6.) Orlando - I have them as my surprise/sleeper team next year. They got a lot of talent on that team.

7.) Indiana - I think they bounce back. I like what they did, in a sense, they're going to be quicker, more explosive offensively, but I think they took a step back defensively. I see them as a playoff team, but nothing special.

8.) Bucks - They are going to hopefully get a healthy Parker back. I think they squeak in.
Honestly, I was tempted to put Orlando in, as well. Loaded with upside and young talent. If some of their youth develops according to plan, they are going to be a force in 2 years.

That's part of the reason I started this thread - there are multiple teams that look like they might make that leap from the bottom but it's a toss up of who from that group will actually do it or who will flop:

MIL
DET
ORL
BOS
BKN (lol, jk)

New Orleans has an uneven roster. They have parts that don't match. I think 5 is too high for them unless they made a drastic trade early in the season.

Don't have the energy to compile a list of playoff teams, but I eill say this:

I will be SHOCKED if the Cavs don't win it all this year.

I am equally shocked that I feel that way about a Cleveland team pre-season.

So pretty much this...

1. Cavs
2. potential victim to the Cavs
3. potential victim to the Cavs
4. potential victim to the Cavs
5. potential victim to the Cavs
6. potential victim to the Cavs
7. potential victim to the Cavs
8. 100% victim to the Cavs

West:

(Sorry)

Yeah it wouldn't shock me if the Knicks made the playoffs...I'm not trolling either.

I won't go that far because of Cleveland's luck and the constant threat of injury. But if you were to tell me that we would be reasonably healthy throughout, then I would absolutely agree.
