The Walking Dead

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: The Walking Dead Episode One (Pre-air)

It was well made for sure. I tried to win the zombie spot and failed at the end.

Between this and Boardwalk Empire, my Sundays are set.

Lets not forget good ole' Kenny Powers in Eastbound and Down.

Re: The Walking Dead Episode One (Pre-air)

And don't forget Schwartzman, Galifianakis, and Danson in Bored to Death.

Re: The Walking Dead Episode One (Pre-air)

This show was great.

My one complaint was about the part where he was going to shoot himself under the tank and then discovers the open hatch. How poorly was that done? Even someone in 6th grade with a camcorder knows you need to wait for a beat or two before the realization to make that look semi-realistic. Other than that though Darabont stays winning.

I know, its like one second he is under the tank, the next second he is inside the tank. And you are like " wait, what... how"

Re: The Walking Dead Episode One (Pre-air)

Just got around to watching it. I'm loving it so far. I've always liked zombie flicks, so this is great. I'm very curious to see how this turns out. My friend recommended that I read the comic books so I might try that.

Re: The Walking Dead Episode One (Pre-air)

This show is fantastic. The opening scene with the little girl was great. The acting is very believable. I'm looking forward to Sunday

"The Killing" is another AMC original that looks like its gonna be awesome, think its set to begin in January

Re: The Walking Dead Episode One (Pre-air)

Great episode 2. I cant wait for 3. Although i feel bad for that guy on the roof, but i dont think that will be the last we see of him. And that challengers alarm would have gone off after a couple of minutes.

Re: The Walking Dead Episode One (Pre-air)

Wow.. episode 2 is great. Asian kid seemed like he'd be a loner, and I'm not sure we'll see him again. Though you think he'd have to get that damn car alarm off. The question is, do they know where they're headed and what's next? I wonder how long they can possibly drag out his wife and partner before they inevitably meet.

Even though these questions can be answered by the comic readers let's keep the thread spoiler free for folks like MJA.

Re: The Walking Dead Episode One (Pre-air)

just watched the 2nd episode and wow... i can't wait to see where they're going to take the show. it's got so much promise. does anyone think that a relationship may develop between rick and andrea, specially when his wife (don't know for sure, but im guessing she'll have to tell him sometime) admits to cheating on him with his partner?

I could care less about this. Im scared whole episodes will be devoted to the characters and less on the zombies around them.

Re: The Walking Dead Episode One (Pre-air)

Its gonna have to go with more "soap opera" lines... they'll call it character development. They figure viewers will get sick of the constant fighting off of zombies, when in fact, that's why we're watching! Conflict between the humans with occasional teaming up against the shuffling hoard once an episode. That's not what I want, but it is what I think will happen... because that's been the basic plot so far.
