The Walking Dead

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: The Walking Dead Episode One (Pre-air)

didn't like the last episode except for the finale, playing Bob Dylan's "Tomorrow Is a Long Time" after the building explodes was pretty epic

***SPOILERS****

I have a really good guess on what the scientist whispered to Rick as he was leaving. He took everyone's blood test, so my guess is that he saw that Andrea had contracted a new strain of the virus or something to that effect. Or maybe she's just a carrier of the virus, like they did in 28 days/weeks later.

Why Andrea? There were a couple of clues in the episode. First, after she took the blood test she seemed very weak, which isn't much by itself. But later, after the dinner she was throwing up in the bathroom. Maybe she could have been puking because she was drunk, but i think those two were put in for a reason.

But could she be just a "carrier" for the disease if she was suffering from symptoms? How does that work with other diseases? Don't carriers by definition never manifest the disease?

Re: The Walking Dead Episode One (Pre-air)

I think he whispered in Ricks ear that his wife is a whore and he and everyone else went to town on her the night before. In shock he didn't know what to do.. but he then realized this guy is about to blow up the building.

Oh yeah.. spoiler alert..

true... maybe in that case she has a new strain of the virus, something that is extremely slow-acting or something like that

Re: The Walking Dead Episode One (Pre-air)

I was kinda hoping Andrea would stay with the doctor. She's the worst actor of the entire crew and I can't handle too much more of her...

It may not be a virus, she may be carrying some sort of immunity... and he told Rick that she might be carrying a cure... which would be ironic since mentally she has checked out and did not feel there was any hope left.

By the way, SPOILER question/comment....

when the lab blew up, did anyone else think that was wrong... shouldn't the blast have been self-contained? I think the computer voice explained that, and also, in the real world, wouldn't they make it so the exterior of the building would prevent any virus mutations or remnants from being ejected into the atmosphere from the blast? I also thought, a blast that size should've at least blown out the windows of their vehicles... heck it destroyed a reinforced building, and they were only 100 feet away....

I think she's pregnant.

Perhaps I'm in the minority, but I thought the finale was awesome. I don't think that chick is a bad actress at all. Plus they needed to keep one of the hot characters around.

The slutty wife is pretty hot.

Re: The Walking Dead Episode One (Pre-air)

Slutty wife is definitely hot.

The pregnancy thing occurred to me as well and would certainly add a twist if it turns out to be the other guy's baby.

I never thought Andrea was hot. I also never thought Asians were hot though either, so...

Re: The Walking Dead Episode One (Pre-air)

Since the new season is out thought I would bump the thread. For those who are watching it, what do you think so far?

Re: The Walking Dead Episode One (Pre-air)

SPOILER ALERT!!!

I think they're starting to drag it out a little bit too much. They keep sidetracking with periphery stories like the kid getting shot, Andrea's melt downs, etc. They need to move onto a new destination, although I do like what they're doing with the old fat hillbilly and wifefucker.

I actually like the periphery stories. I mean...if you don't want them to drag it out, then the show can only last so long. I've been pretty satisfied so far. I do wonder how long the concept can go on. I'm actually pretty excited about all the possible going's-on at Herschel's. Something strange about the fact there's literally no protection around the house besides isolation and the fact that the area has remained isolated so long. Creepy.

Re: The Walking Dead Episode One (Pre-air)

I was watching the premiere with my roommates...one of them got up to make some food and when he got back Carl was on the ground bleeding. They asked what happened, and I was forced to explain that: "Well, they found a deer in the forest. Shane raised his gun to shoot it, but Carl decided to go try and pet it instead. Once he got close, both Carl and the deer were shot."

My roommate was very confused. We had to rewind it and rewatch it before he accepted my summary.
