The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Second episode of Game of Thrones was solid, even if it was mostly just lead-up to the next episode (which is kind of inevitable, I guess). I'll post my thoughts in a spoiler tag.

Rodrik being alive was a nice twist, even if him surviving was a little ridiculous. You'd think someone would have checked to make sure he was dead before they loaded his body onto the cart and sent him back to the North. Further, him actually surviving that trip with grievous injuries and no food or water is equally ridiculous. Still, it's a game and they needed someone to be playable at the Forrester stronghold.

I really have no idea where the story with Asher is going, but I have to assume he'll met Dany at some point. He didn't really have much to do in this episode. It kind of just introduced him and his lady friend and then they decided to depart for Meereen.

I want to replay the episode to somehow salvage my engagement to that other Northern chick. The fact that it's listed at the end makes me assume that you can convince her to still be pledged to Rodrik, and I have to imagine that could have a later impact. I also will definitely not kiss Lord Whitehall's ring if I replay the episode. I can't wait to kill that guy at some point. :chuckle:

I'm also not sure if tossing the knife Mira used to kill the Lannister guard was the right decision, or if I should have forged that letter from Margaery. If I replay the episode, I might do both differently as well.

thinking of grabbing Majoras Mask for 3DS ($40 but $25 dell gift card with purchase). The main thing stopping me is that i hated the original MM on N64, but i was also like 10 when i played it lol.

I wish the Wii-U had a N64 VC I really want to play Mario 64 and the Zelda games along with Banjo Kazooie.

Right now Sonic Lost Worlds, SMB 2 (USA), Mario Kart 8, Apotheon, and Driveclub. with a hint of Minecraft.

Totally forgot about the Battlefield Hardline beta... and now ill be away from my PC all weekend so ill miss it lol. BF4 has left an awful taste in my mouth, but its a free game basically so why not

Picked up the star wars humble bundle, also realized i had like 5 other unclaimed games on Humble lol.

got back into KH: BBS FM last night, the game got way more fun when i invested in my character. What I mean is my first play through with Terra, i was basically trying to fly through the story, but i had to grind a bit to beat the final boss and through my grinding (which is always fun in Kingdom Hearts) i discovered Item Synthesis.

It's a lot of fun trying to tune up my character and really make it mine

Anyone play The Binding of Isaac? I have newer games but keep going back to it. Liking it more and more. Story is twisted... and every time you restart, the levels are randomly generated so the replay value is outstanding. I've played it dozens of times and still haven't gotten half of the in-game items/weapons.

Yeah I have and sometimes still do. I love it and has endless replay value. This is why I love indies as there are so many Gems out there.

Bought Citizens of Earth today after reading some reviews and figuring it would be a type of game I'd enjoy. I've played a little over an hour and I can confirm that it is pretty enjoyable. It's an RPG in the Mario & Luigi vein. Bright graphics, dumb humor, and solid turn-based gameplay. It lacks the real-time bonus events that the M&L games have, but it has an interesting quirk in that your character doesn't actually fight, but rather directs his party members. Apparently you can collect around forty party members total (you have to recruit them by doing tasks), although I've only got three right now.

You play as the Vice President of Earth the day after his election. Naturally, nefarious forces are plotting things (I'm not really sure what yet because I'm not that far in) and you need to recruit the right people to stop them. You start with your mom and brother and branch out from there. Combat is pretty standard turn-based fare. Your various party members have their own unique abilities (your brother is a brawler who deals damage and your mom can demoralize enemies with lectures that lower defense, for example) that will presumably make putting together a party an important aspect of success as the game gets more difficult and I accumulate more than three party members.

Thus far, I'd definitely recommend Citizens of Earth. It's only fifteen bucks and from the hour I've played I think it will easily be worth that. It doesn't seem like it will be terribly difficult, although I just earned the ability to adjust the difficulty. One interesting tidbit there is that there are incentives (such as more money dropped by enemies) to make the game harder and penalties for making it easier. An example is an inability to instantly win fights against weak foes when you lower the difficulty even a notch. I like that. It's a clever way to allow younger or less experienced players to still enjoy the game while encouraging people like me to up the difficulty a bit. Smart game design.

I was tempted to get The Order 1886 but after reading reviews I've cancelled my preorder. Basically a beautiful game filled with shitty shooting and quicktime events. I may just watch a play through...

Sounds like a perfect game to pick up for thirty bucks in a few months.

Damn, I was really pumped for this too.

I'm sure you can find some youtube full playthroughs of the game. It's basically the exact same thing other than you don't have to press the buttons for the quick time events.

I picked up Lords of the Fallen on XB1 for $9 on some unannounced sale that came before the Ultimate Game Sale. Kinda of a crappy Dark Souls lite. I mean for $9, what the hell. It gives me something to play on my XB1.
