The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I never played the 2nd season, but if it was anything close to the 1st, it's a great game. Really a huge fan of all the recent Telltale game series. Going through the first 2 episodes of Game of Thrones now. Snagged the telltale collection for $55 on xbox live the other weekend. So might as well get caught up.

Oh I love Telltale, I'm a huge Borderlands fan and thought Tales was pretty good, that's why I'm thinking about buying them. Just seeing if it stacks up with the rest of their games. Gonna go ahead and spend some money.

So @Mdog1, I got the game yesterday. Any clue as to why Nappa is unrealistically impossible to beat in the beginning? I easily depleted his health in the first 2 stages (albeit with help from Gohan and Krillin) but he is literally dropping like 20% of my health bar with each punch all of a sudden. One of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen, and I just can't beat him now.

This game is all about keeping them juggled so they can't attack. Also, spend time doing PQs and leveling up. Honestly levels seem to be such a big thing. Getting slaughtered by a character, level up once, and suddenly you start doing damage again.

I treat the battles so cheaply, just a lot of quick melee juggles followed by a Final Blast as they go to get up. Repeat 2-3 times, dead enemies everywhere. I'm in the middle of the cell saga now trying to get caught up on masters. Got Krillin,Vegeta, and Piccolo done. Working on Ginyu then Frieza next.

So I play xbox1 mostly with 2 of my best friends growing up. Is there any games that anyone can think of that's a good buy for 3/4 guys. Or one coming out soonish? Borderlands 2 bundle? I was thinking battlefield but they're haters..

Awesome advice, thank you man. So basically I shouldn't bother until I level up doing more PQs? I'm still getting used to the mechanics and the practicals of the game, so it's all really a "one-step-at-a-time" process at the moment but it does sound like increasing my character's stats is vital for level progression.

That's kind of what I was doing in battles - a bunch of melee attacks, some vanishes and then a final blast (still trying to get used to the controls, I find myself pushing the super defend final attack by mistake more often than not :conf (9):) to try and level the enemy but I literally cannot get on top of Nappa - 3-4 attacks from him and I'm KO'd.

You'll get it. If you can't get it after gaining 1-2 levels. Put it down for a day and come back. It'll happen.

Hardline... Surprisingly better than I expected. Granted, I did preorder it because I was happy to have a change of scenery.

Playing Skyrim, I'm like level 18 and wishing I had installed SkyRe before I started :/. My graphics are insane though, here's an album of some screenshots I've taken so far: http://imgur.com/a/NosHL#0

I put in 3 hours today. Pleasantly surprised at how much fun I had playing Blood Money with a few friends online. Really didn't have high hopes but it looks really promising.

Anybody ever see a game on sale on steam and attempt to buy it and then realize you already own it? Well, I saw that the far cry series was on sale and they had blood dragon for ultra cheap; didn't realize I owned it. I decided to download it and fire it up. Like far cry 3 it required a little bit of extra tweaking for the game to feel right. The mouse controls by default are utter shit in this game. I'm a low sensitivity gamer and even on the lowest in-game setting I felt it was too fast for me. Luckily, there is a file you can edit to adjust it exactly to your liking.

Also, this game and far cry 3 are the only games I have ever seen that have negative mouse acceleration. I had to download a compiler/un-compiler program to un-compile a certain file, edit one of the files, and recompile it back.

A really huge pain in the ass to get your game going the way you like it, but the controls are excellent now after the many tweaks I had to apply. The game itself is pretty good. The whole 80's thing is a little over the top, but I kind of like the futuristic, 80's neon thing it has going. It doesn't hurt that the main character is voiced by Kyle Reese.

I bought Blood Dragon when it came out. Great expansion pack. It's really a perfect example of DLC done right.

@NtG ... Looks pretty good. What ENB are you using?

I'll warn you from firsthand experience: once you start modding Skyrim you won't stop trying to tweak every little detail to make it even more realistic looking. Some of the screenshots I'm getting now are approaching photorealism.

I'm using Kountervibe - Northerb Lights right now, although I've tweaked it a little to make shadows less dark for better gameplay.

I agree with the modding, every time I run into something I don't like in the game I'll exit and immediately start searching for a mod to make it better.

Currently playing through the Mass Effect trilogy again. I actually just retrieved the Reaper IFF and have 3 more characters to make loyal. Have about 15 hours invested in ME2 already.

Pissed I couldn't save Tali Zorah vas' Normandy from getting exiled (playing renegade) because I didn't have enough points, but oh well. Looking forward to getting to 3 again, my god it's been way too long since I've played these. Still my favorite game series of all time.

Yeah, despite the ending mishap I thought the series was largely a success. It was one of the only game series to make me really feel like I'm in a movie, a space opera in particular. Fantastic games, all three of them.

Ok so anyone check out Pillars of Eternity yet? Old school RPG kickstarter from Obsidian, it's getting great buzz...and I'm tempted. But I have to wait until the semester is out.
