Question, how many kids you got?
What that man did was beyond badass, it's what more parents need to do. Ever since it became illegal/child abuse to spank your child, we've seen generation after generation of kids become more out of control, more violent, more everything. You can't physically punish a kid, you physically punish all the shit the kid holds dear.
But you being the parenting expert, what is a more "constructive" way to get through to her? Were you going to sit her down in a pastel colored room with easy listening blasting throughout the speakers and have a therapy session with her?
First of all, I never claimed to be a "parenting expert", so here we go putting words in each other's mouths again...
Second of all, I don't have any kids, but it's common fucking sense. If my parent shot a bullet around me, you'll be damned sure I would have been out of that fucking house the first chance I got, and it would be a long fucking time before I talked to them again.
I'm not even one to condone hitting a child, but even that's one thing compared to pulling out a fucking gun.
Hmm.. did he try taking the laptop away (Didn't pay too much attention to the video, admittedly) for a few months? Hell, SMASHING the fucking thing or throwing it away would've been better than shooting a f'ng bullet.
Did she become violent with him? Did she try & hit him? Didn't think so..
She disobeyed, JUST LIKE ANY TEENAGER. And he shot a fucking bullet.
This isn't one of those instances you see on T.V where the daughter bitch slaps the mother constantly & they go all out with military training bullshit. She fucking disobeyed, just like every other teenager since the fucking world started.
I admittedly treated my mother like crap at times, raised my voice, disobeyed, didn't listen, etc. She never hit me, never shot a bullet at me, never even raised a fist at me. And I've turned out perfectly fine, and anyone who knows me personally knows that I'm almost impossible to hate..
You know why? BECAUSE MY MOTHER KNEW HOW TO PARENT. She was a single mother, raising 3 kids. Never even raised a hand to us. We've all turned out fine.
Everybody wants to put the blame on other people instead of taking responsibility for their own actions. As I said, he could've taken it away or even thrown it away. All teenagers are going to act up, that's a fact. It's a part of life.
