Just read the article and I must say I am not sure if Simmons watches any CAVS games. At this point Moz looks like a steal for 2 late round picks. He also was pretty down on Love. I think Love's issues in the beginning of the year were related to system issues. More recently I have to think it is his back. He is not getting any height on his jumper. If he just has back spasms I expect this to be corrected by the end of the year and we will see the real Kevin Love.
 
I voted C for the trade because no team in the league was going to trade 2 first rounders for a guy that was averaging 8 and 8. His value on the Cavs is obviously A+.

The Nuggets will be loaded in a few years.

Geez, I actually remember the behind the back dribble from Z... he did that a number of times. And the times Z played vs Sabonis was always a big deal for him. Sabonis was a state hero and Z really respected him. Good stuff. Plus, Z had hair!

It's funny, because I actually enjoy his articles (including the one linked to above) except for when he talks about the Cavs. But then it occurs to me... he can't just be incredibly dumb when talking about the Cavs and on-point with every other team in the league. I just happen to know that he's an idiot when talking about the Cavs because I closely follow the team. Probably every fan of every team in the league thinks he's an idiot.

My verdict... he's just an idiot.

Same here, and I admitted it and gave my reasons way back in post 590... AND we still haven't seen Shumbert's contributions yet!
 
Yeah, I read the Simmons piece. I think he is a better humorist than analyst, but he has certainly been grinding an axe with the Cavaliers for about 4 years.

I think he has some valid disappointment with how the Cavaliers looked for most of this season. I personally believed the Cavaliers looked pretty good when healthy, but after Varejao went down the team had a gigantic cloud of smoggy brown shitwater over it. Simmons needs to recognize the bump in how the team finally looks with the missing piece of the puzzle on board... but that may take a few more wins.

The Cavaliers won a lot of unearned praise from July to September. Now they will have to earn that praise back. I have no doubt they will.
