Tom Hamilton Appreciation Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Just stumbled upon this with all of Tom's greatest calls from 2013. If you have a good fifteen minutes to kill, it's worth the watch/listen.

Something about Tom Hamilton's home run calls are like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. I know most people like him, but I really can't stand him.

I will fucking fight you.

I appreciate that Hamilton gets excited about the big plays... and I like that. I just think he tends to be over the top and a little TOO dramatic. However, I'll definitely take Hamilton over Herb Score. That guy was theeeee absolute worst ever. Go listen to some of his calls of key, huge moments. No emotion whatsoever. Just god-awful

Prime example... Indians clinch their first division title in 41 years and Score celebrates with this monster outburst of emotion:

Like I said, simply god-awful.

Herb at the end was hard to listen to because you could tell he was slipping. Had a good steady delivery when he was on top his game. Had a very Johnny Cash esque method, low and steady. He was the first announcer I listened to, before Tom came on board. Truth is there just aren't many with Hamilton's range or ability to, well, sound interesting for 3-4 hours a game.
