1. RCF Will Be In Flux For a few. I'm going as fast as I can correcting issues. We should be good to go by Monday. Sorry you have to deal with this bland board until then.

Tressel knew of gear scheme last April

Unless that "source" comes out and can prove that he informed Tressel about the situation then Im not worried.

OSU football is going to be in deep shit if that's true.

I'll bet JT says he investigated the matter but found no evidence, or some shit like that

How many things do you think Tressel gets notified of or finds out about his players. They are all rumors until you have proof. Most of them could be nothing but BS. If he did know im sure he did his investigation and didn't find any proof. Remember this happened over 2 years ago, so we don't know what went on during that time. I would be more concerned if Tressel knew about this back when they were freshmen.

I can't shake the feeling that the football program is screwed. I have no evidence either way, but this just feels like it will end very badly.

They might as well forget about getting those suspensions reduced.

for those of you that dont believe this, yahoo sports has a pretty good history of breaking college stories like this. they broke and continued to investigate both USC scandals, oklahoma's bomar scandal, and im pretty sure they were first to the scene with this one. there was a reason i turned to them to fill my sports need after the lebron/espn shit.

Wetzel has done more of this than anybody else. I don't think he'd print it just to get it out there w/o something concrete behind it.

    This is bad.

OSU football would be totally awful if we have this new QB in Miller but are unable to go to bowl games for a few years.

If this was some fly by night online news site reporting it, no problem, and we can say it's bogus. It's Yahoo. A very different thing.

Wetzel and Yahoo have a history of breaking items like this very thing. It's doubtful that he decided to run the article w/o something that can be proven.

If tSV knew about this last April, more than likely he didn't have ALL the details of what went down.

Kind of answers why the suspended players were allowed to play the Bowl game. Maybe Tress knew it was going to come out once the season ended so might as well play his big horses while he could. Or maybe tSV knew everything and decided to make the run at the NC or bust. We won't really know, JMO

It'll be interesting what the university has to say in response.

If Tress were in the SEC, everyone would be screaming, "Typical". It happens in every conference, nearly every campus. Some just hide it better than others.

It won't be he said she said though. Tressel might have found out something and actually launched an investigation at that time, and then could not find any evidence to what he was told or found out. That's very possible. Another option might be that Tressel did in fact know and did find wrong doing, but didn't report it.

I don't believe Jim Tressel is going to try to coverup anything. He won't be untruthful, so the he said she said isn't a question. He either found out something and investigated. He found out something and didn't investigate or Yahoo is totally wrong.

No matter what, Tressel will be honest.

Playing his "big dogs" doesn't matter when the entire season is at risk of being vacated.
