Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
TT is a decent nba rotation player. He’s not a star, but he’s a valuable guy. Have you guys looked at what the average career is for the 15th pick in the draft? You got about a 10% chance at landing a star and a 15% at getting a solid rotation player. That’s the upside. So if you trade TT for a 15th pick, theres a 75% chance that you just lowered the over all talent on the team.

Liquidating aging vets on expiring contracts for assets with a longer shelf life is often a good play. Trading a healthy 27 year old center for a long shot pick just becuase he keeps a long long shot prospect on the bench is foolhardy. Somtimes standing pat is the best play.

Easy trade at the deadline his value will never be higher ever again in his career.

Comes down to if someone needs him. Injuries would help. He is the best player on the team and no Love to take any rebounds from him, so yeah his value may never be higher. His contract will be much more attractive next year as an expiring, so if he can keep it up for a year, he will go to a good situation and we will get something for him. The people saying he will likely be traded after the major free agents get signed seems like the best analysis to me.

outside of some blockbuster deal that makes the Cavs a contender at the trade deadline. TT is going nowhere.

the moment we heard that Nance would be plitting starts with TT cause Nance couldn't handle the power bigs as a starter . TT's spot on this roster was assured.

I don't believe that Hills trade was a sign of a pending fire sale or a white flag on being competitive the next 4 seasons.

Anthony Davis for TT and Sexton is better than anything the Lakers can offer lol.

If he's out for even like 3-5 games I don't see us winning roe than 1 off those. He's been big for our team recently hopefully he is not out for too long for his trade value and for the team's performance quality.

I really see no reason why he can’t continue to play at his current levels. He’s healthy, in the prime of his career, and knows he’ll get one more contract. It may not be what the Cavs gave him, but he should make some money.
I agree, his value will be highest next year, and, he’s playing hard and has won before. It’s a good example in the locker room.

And he is out for 2-4 weeks. A few things that comes to mind immediately:

- It is probably going to be a disaster
- Zizic can/must get some playing time
- Hood and Clarkson will even take more shots. I don't know if I can endure this.

Zizic will get a ton of playing time now.

Don't get your hopes too high... I had thought the same a couple of times this season but it did not happen... It is more probable that they try to employ ultra small ball which is not good in my opinion or maybe Henson would be available soon... Wonder how Z is doing on practices for him to be so deep in the bench...

It isn't "hopes" in this case.
Frye can't play a ton of minutes at his age.
I know Nance will be used at the 5 spot but he will have trouble a lot trying to play bigger men.
This isn't just about TT being out of the lineup for a few minutes but several weeks so coach has to use what he has to fill the void.

I would like see White Wilt play... It is for sure gonna be rough at times but Sexton and Cedi looks bad at times also and they still play... Why not give the young big center (only one the Cavs have) some leeway also to make mistakes and hopefully improve... Even the vets look very rough on some games, so I do not get not having Zizic for some spot minutes on the floor...

I am sure Zizic will get some burn, but neither he nor fry can anchor the rebounding like Tristan can.

How about we trade him to Orlando for Mozgov and the Brooklyn Pick?
