Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He's easily my favorite Cav. That's no disrespect to Kyrie, Andy, Waiters, Bynum, etc (a lot of love to go around). This is an example of a guy that was drafted higher than many anticipated, and heard the criticism, and naysayers (from his own fan base). That's a lot of pressure for any young player to deal with. The hate and animosity, can be so much for one to deal with.

The guy just works his tail off, goes out there and competes at a high level. Works incredibly hard on every weakness at his game. Free throws, defense, rebounding, extending a 15ft shot with his off hand. This guy is putting in all the hard work to be as great as possible! You can clearly see it in the growth of his game. Just a gym rat. That just speaks to his character level. It's good to have talent and he obviously does have it, but its rare to find such young players that have the intangibles, work ethic, and willingness to be humble enough to want to learn how to play the game at the highest level possible. Improve in all facets of the game. Tristan seems obsessed and motivated to do that. That's special right there.

I love that intangibles are still looked at in basketball. His are off the charts.

I am sorry I have to ask... Who got your only thanks? Okay I am being nosy here. I agree with you though as he has shown and looked like a pro and If he never makes and All Star team that I think he will. Tristan will be something of a new breed of NBA player. I mean this guy Is the two of the three reasons I stood up for, the other being AV's Shot at the end. Those jumpers were a mix of odd and beautiful.

I'm betting my lunch money on TT wining MIP

if he gets attention

none of the national coverage of this game mentioned tristan or him hitting those right handed jumpers

all i saw was bynum and kyrie having a slow start

Those jumpers :D

It's so surreal seeing him shoot. I mean this was a guy who had literally no range last year and I'm not meaning literally figuratively. he literally didn't. have. a shot last year (!!!) now he's calmy taking and making 15 footers within the flow of the game every time the defense gives him one.

He even faked a pass in the corner to set up his jumpshot. Amazing.

I really liked seeing TT and Bennett getting a little PT together. I think we might see more of that- imagine Jack-Irving-Karasev-Bennett-Thompson together. Bombs away......

I cannot wait to see the day that Thompson goes off for 30+.

But Brown liked how Thompson said during a fourth-quarter timeout: "If no one is going to get the rebounds, I'm going to get them all!"
Brown told his 6-9 forward: "That's a good idea."

If you would've told me this time last year that Tristan would become my favorite player on the team, I would've laughed at you. Truly amazing what he's done. Looks like my sleeper pick in fantasy may just pan out :chuckles:

I think he will be my basketball version of Jordan Cameron.
