Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Not sure I would take Monroe over Tristan at this point. He just hasn't improved at all in the last two years while Tristan's been improving steadily. I want the guy with the higher ceiling, and right now that seems like Tristan.

I would prefer a Monroe TT combination...

If TT continues to improve his game during the season, he's going to be playing at a All-Star level by next season.

Sure it's all speculation right now.

But he is performing like a completely different player than at the start of last season. Throw in how some of that has been accomplished( hand thing) and it's pretty damned remarkable. Let yourself imagine he makes a similar leap from now until the 2014 season.

He's maturing, realizing how talented he is and knowing how hard he has to work to bring it out on the court.

He's still learning that he can hold his own and then some against most anyone in the league. Yes, he's going to have plays, minutes and games where we can all see he's still going to school.

It's fun to watch the evolution.

I think this the year we see what kind of player Tristan will finally become. He will make the biggest statistical leap of his career this season. I expect him to be around 15ppg/11rpg. Depending on how good his jump shot is, I could see him push towards 17ppg, but this is stretching it a little. He should be a 17/12 player is his prime, along with all NBA defense considerations, which is an All Star worthy

I expect Tristan efficiency to be average this year, and keep climbing as he grows more and more comfortable with his right hand.

Basicly, I think we found ourselves a starting PF on a championship worthy team...

TT, you have officially become my favorite cavalier.

So if he averages 15/10 with strong defense on a winning playoff bound team, why wouldn't he make the All-Star Game this year?

that is just amazing. I thought he made 3, though, one in the first half, two in the second half.

edit: one shot was right at the foul line so wasn't outside of 15 feet.

Because he plays in Cleveland and because the east has : Lebron, Bosh, Hibbert, West, George, Josh Smith, Al Horford, Monroe, Carmelo, Chandler, Deng, Noah, Boozer and Pierce as "front court players". All of these players are at least as good as TT and are household names. ASG is a popularity contest. TT isnt going to no ASG this year, nor next. He might some day, but he will need to make a name for himself and it will take him a couple years of playoffs appearances to do that.

It's not so important that he actually make the game this year, as long as he's playing well enough to get in the discussion, I'm thrilled. To actually make the team, we need to win a lot of games.

Deng, Boozer, Chandler, and Pierce will never make an All-Star game again

Deng, Boozer, Chandler, and Pierce will never make an All-Star game again

That is not a safe or sound statement. You might be right on Chandler and Pierce, but Boozer has started off hot, and Deng is coming off back-to-back seasons as an All-Star.

James and Pierce would be backcourt players though...right?

So Lebron/Melo/Bosh/George All Locks atm it would seem. That leaves what 2 spots?
