Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Because he plays in Cleveland and because the east has : Lebron, Bosh, Hibbert, West, George, Josh Smith, Al Horford, Monroe, Carmelo, Chandler, Deng, Noah, Boozer and Pierce as "front court players". All of these players are at least as good as TT and are household names. ASG is a popularity contest. TT isnt going to no ASG this year, nor next. He might some day, but he will need to make a name for himself and it will take him a couple years of playoffs appearances to do that.

Those are the C and PF that he would need to beat out? Or am I missing something here.

Bosh should count as a Center

they combined the positions. There's room for six front court players plus two wild card spots. Last year both wild card spots went to front court players plus they squeezed in an extra one when they had to replace a starter. So 6 to 8 or even 9 front court players are possible.

If Thompson plays the entire first half like he did in game 1, none of what you said matters... at all.

it will come down to wins if the cavs are a good team they will get kyrie +1 other and that is most likely going to be tt

Not sure I get the point of your message. Sure, TT was amazing but even if he averages 18/10, I don't see him being voted to ASG.

By the way, I forgot Garnett and Lopez...

Wed can pencil in Lebron, George, Bosh and Melo. I think Lopez and Noah make it. That leaves 1 or 2 wildcards. Depending on the form of Detroit, Atlanta and Brooklyn, it will be a battle between Monroe, Smith, Garnett, Pierce, Horford and TT. And that's counting out our very own AV and Bynum...

No obviously, it doesn't really matters to me. I just want to see TT show the world he is now a complete player and it looks like he is about to do just that.

No, it won't come down to wins. Outside of the starters which the fans vote, the coaches usually vote in guys who are having the best statistical seasons.

Tristan doesn't have to be an all star as long as he is our "all star" and the heart and soul of the 2013-2014 Cavaliers

Your original statement was that he won't MAKE the all star game this year or next. You never said voted in.

If he averages 18/10 and the Cavs are having a strong first half, he will make the team. There is no way that guys like Pierce or Garnett come anywhere close to those numbers. Not a chance.

James, Pierce, and Durant are all "frontcourt" while Paul George is "backcourt." Who even makes these things? Do they watch basketball?

Considering it is renobs like us who vote in the starters, I would not put too much thought into it.

I wholeheartedly disagree sir. Case in pint loul deng, that year all the pistons made it. Kg in his boston days. Coaches reward the winning teams. Hence why andy would not have made the game last year with Irving

If Andy played all year and finished at the same pace he was on, I think he would have had to be considered by most coaches and probably would have made it.

WTF does this even mean? "All star"? Are you one of those people that think everyone should get a trophy for participating?

I think you can swap "...as long as he is our 'all star'" with "...as long as he is all-star caliber (regardless of the subjective outcome of the coaches vote)"

Happier now?
