Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We simply need to call more plays for TT. It CANNOT be any worse than watching our guards dribble for 20 seconds then hoist low reward mid-range jumpers.

I am still confused why we only seem to set picks up top so that our guards can have more room to dribble. Why are we not running the pick and roll with our bigs?

We do the pick part fine, but we have 3-4 very selfish guards that don't seem to understand the roll aspect.

Or the pass to the open guy on the weak side. That's the one that's killer. You can just tell the scouting report is collapse in the paint on a pick and roll because Kyrie & Co. won't get the ball to the corner.

We essentially run a modified version of LeIso with three different guards now. I really hope that Brown gets to working on the offense before the season slips away.

He's really just not that good offensively.

Come on now, this is getting ridiculous.

He beats his man off the dribble more often than not, has developed a consistent little jump hook with both hands, has good footwork, is finally going up strong to the rim, and can hit the 15-18 footer now (for whatever reason, he's hesitating with it now).

I'm not saying he's some great offensive juggernaut, he still has his flaws, but let's not act like he's a liability and hasn't improved at all.

TT and Andy are the only 2 players on this roster who arent selfish

Honestly, in his limited minutes, Bynum has done his part in finding players. Sadly - bottom line - our bigs are looking for each other more than our guards.

I'll preface by saying I like Thompson, but he seems to be quickly regressing to last years version. I'm not sure if it is confidence or what, but he needs to use the jump shot more.

He did this early last year as well and everyone freaked out. Later in the year he settled back down and showed the improvements he had worked on in that off season. I expect much of the same this year as well.

I wouldn't go this far.

Yes, he's hesitating on his jump shot, but he's shooting better at the line, is going up stronger than he ever has, and is much more confident with his offensive repertoire minus the J.

He should really let that shot fly when he is given space. That is the only way he could develop it. Practice is a loooooooot different than shooting it at actual game speed.

Very rarely does he deviate from the same shot. He very rarely actually reacts to what the defense gives him. He forces the issue even when his moves aren't there. He has no counter moves.

Not saying he hasn't improved, but the idea of just dumping the ball down to him isn't always the best. Teams are starting to catch on.

I think after this weekend, having 4 days off before the next game will give him time to watch some tape, and practice more on his game.

Well, he didn't play great, but sadly he was the best player on the floor for us again tonight!

Love everything about Tristan's game. I still think he can be an All-Star in the future.
