Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Any notion of TT playing the 3 on a regular basis is ludicrous. Pure stupidity. Any past history that shows that he was somewhat "decent" or "above average" or whatever the hell you want to call is the result of catching the other team off guard. If other teams know that he's going to play the small forward spot regularly, they'll quickly scheme to take advantage of that. I don't even know why the notion of him playing the 3 spot is even a serious thought to any Cavs fan. I mean, desperation have really set in to even really give it a serious thought.

I'd be quitting on Mike Brown right now if I were Thompson. Bennett too, for that matter. He set them up to get embarrassed on national television tonight. What a bullshit move. And it succeeded. Thompson and Bennett did, indeed, get embarrassed by J.R. Smith. Bravo, Mike. You clown.

It sucks because they're both really good kids who want to succeed and this guy just shot any confidence they had going for them all the way down.

I dont know whats going on with Tristan. I am almost beginning to suspect he has some sort of injury or something that s throwing him off. or he just disengaged. or he is trying to overcompensate for av not being out there.. something is off with him

I think AV Is better than he gets credit for. It seems every time he goes down we go from a average/below average team to the worst team In the east.

yes teams are going to attack thompson differently when av isnt in the game and hes gonna have a harder time. which is a good reason to get zeller the ball to sort of free up thompson. but Thompson need to play within himself and he hasnt done that. dont know if hes pressing. trying to do to much or if the coaches fubared his assignments but I thinks he has just been playing lousy as opposed to outmatched. he has shown he can perform againstt these guys he suddenly is stuggling against

Yeah I recall him taking advantage and kind of coming out last year when AV went down. He does seem timid this year though almost like he regressed to his rookie year. I am not as worried about T.T as some of the other stuff going on with this team. I just hope he gets It together as he has the talent to a consistent double double guy.

I feel like the basketball gods punished Tristan because there was a discussion in THIS THREAD advocating Thompson playing the 3

Whoever recommended that, Tristan getting broke off like that is solely on YOUR keyboard son.

I thought the Tristan at the 3 talk was people mocking Mike Brown though...

Seems like ol' Mike thinks he can guard 2's as well.

Actually I just watched that play a few times...

And Mike Brown coaching these guys, at this point in time, is a health risk to them. Tristan's left knee almost BUCKLED trying to stay with JR Smith.

There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON why he should have been guarding JR Smith while Tyler Zeller was next to him guarding Tyson Chandler who was coming to give Smith a brush screen.

Tristan and Zeller guarding a pick and roll together?

Fire this guy before his rotations ruins one of our young guys more than just bruising Waiters adn Bennett's egos

I don't like Tristan much. Haven't in a while.

And yet I felt awful for him tonight when Mike Brown REFUSED to adjust to the Knicks lineup and left he and Bennett out to dry on defense. Fucking horseshit. Tristan and Bennett are both entitled to beat the shit out of Brown after that abomination.

He didnt really get broke off, he stepped on Tylers big fucking feet and it LOOKED like he got broke off

But that will happen when you are guarding a SG/C with two centers. Tristan is a tough kid, he doesnt seem as if he get lost in his own head with that play.

Fire Mike BRown

When young guys who come to play hard everyday like Tristan stop buying into the coach the problem is beyond repair.
