Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I really hope we don't move him. I want to give him one more off season on that jumper. If he starts consistently hitting the 15 footer hes going to be a strong player. He hit one tonight but you can tell he doesn't trust it fully yet. Not a surprise considering he changed hands, this offseason is going to be huge for him.

He will be here. No way unless you get a Love type do you trade this man. Point Is look at Aldridge and look how long It took him to become the player he Is now. T.T Is on pace to at be close to that. He has also been the most hard working level headed player this team has. I see a player here who will always be underrated and that Is fine with me because he will show up as "that guy" In the shadows. He and Kyrie and add the team seem to be growing quickly before our eyes. Sky Is the limit with this young team now they got a taste of a winning streak. T.T and Zeller look amazing of late and doing this without AV. Awesome shit bottom line.

LMA has certainly improved over the years, but he was nearly an 18/8 player his sophomore year.

And TT is right around 12/10. No one is expecting him to be in the same realm as Aldridge (at least I hope not).

Bennett can do that and more if givin the same mins. TT gets so many rebounds because of all the chucking the gaurds do without passing down low. Also he's still catching a lot of his own misses. I do see that he stopped forcing up shots after getting the rebound the last 2 games. He now walks it out.

You honestly think at this point Bennett would average better than that if given TTs minutes? He would be one of he top three PFs in the league if so....

That's fine, I was just addressing the fact that LMA was a very good player from the get-go pretty much.

It is amazing how well he has looked playing next to a C who can stretch the floor in Zeller. I also love that he is starting to realize that going back up after a rebound might not be the best play, and has been more willing to kick it back out. These are signs of GROWTH and better understanding of his limitations and strengths. While he still has a long way to go to being an All Star level big, he is a good piece to have on a team.

Double double guys aren't a dime a dozen and his shot blocking ability should be better then Aldridge when it's all said and done. We'll see how that works out though.

Word to Kris Humphries

If given starter minutes AB would match Tristans point total but little else.

I'm slightly amazed at the effort people go through to discredit or just plain ignore Tristan's contributions to this team. This is a 22-year-old PF that's already proven he can consistently give you 30+ minutes a night of good defense and great rebounding. You can't say the same for AB.

Going back to his rookie year TT has started 162 straight games for us. Staying healthy isn't sexy but it's a skill. An incredibly unappreciated skill.

His offense is still improving, and it's encouraging to see stretches like the past 4 games. He's hit a couple 15 footers recently as well, that shot is almost always going to be there for him. He showed confidence in that shot early in the year, I'm positive he can become more comfortable out there in time.

He was billed as a raw prospect that was years away from reaching his ceiling. No one has ever doubted this guys work ethic, and he's shown improvements in his game every year he's been here. You don't give up on young players who have shown as many flashes as TT.

I'm stealing an old stat from Jon but TT had a 27-12 in his second start of his career (second game with 30+ minutes). Roy Hibbert didn't have a 27-12 until his 234th start. Maybe we can show a little patience with our promising young big as well.

Keep hearing that TT will not be worth the money on his next contract, not sure where that is coming from since no contract info has been discussed in any thing I have read. If it does come to that I could see a ton of teams willing to trade for him. look at the starting PF we have had since 2004 where would you rank TT

Drew Gooden 2005 - 2006
Drew Gooden 2006 - 2007
