Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
With a face like Ty Hill, he's an enforcer by default....not that I'm saying he's fugly or anything.

I think He-Man would have trouble telling the difference between these two

After watching that one sports science segment, i heard he tied a record held by Lamarcus Aldridge in terms of blocked shots in a game. So perhaps he's got the same kind of upside as Lamarcus Aldridge? I'd sure as the stuff take that. One thing i DO know, someone who hits the offensive boards is a good piece to have on your team no matter what but especially so with some of the brick shooters we have on our club. (Boobie excluded until he hurts whatever lower part of the body which helps him shoot)

Dont get that comparison at all...LMA is a all - star caliber PF that helps the Blazers to remain relevant. He has a great mid-range game very skilled arsenal of shots and has a lot of length to that. I dont see how TT compares to that. Only similiarity is that both play PF...

Kyrie, Gee, Casspi, and TT do provide that Brandon, Phills, Mills, and Hill likeness.
Ryan Hollins can fill in as John Amechi.

The comparision was when they both were in college and had to do with blocked shots. Offensively, i knew Lamarcus is a more polished product and even so in college. That being said, i think Tristan can potentially grow into being a better scorer than many of us think. He's got the wingspan and he does use a hook shot, which is all part of having an arsenal of moves. Again, not trying to say he's going to ever achieve that offensive level of ability BUT he did average 13 PPG so he does know how to put the ball into the hoop.

I know that it was about blocked shots but LMA´s game is not about blocking shots at all, he is more of a finesse player and TT is a player that has to do his scoring with athleticism. Im not sure about TT as I havent seen him play too much but I think he is more of a face-up instead of a post-up player which would make a comparison to Stoudemire more realistic then a comparison to LMA. Anyways I think we didnt draft TT to score 20 ppg but to be a good role-player, good defender, good rebounder etc... So any comparison to scoring PF´s is a bit off the mark imo

Never said he WILL be Bill Russell or Dwight Howard. I said it's impossible to say exactly what a 20 year old will become, even if you are named Ben, Micheal Young, or Herbie Jigglesworth. Yes, Jigo, I will use your real name.

Before anyone makes fun of me for my first name...it's a family name. And as for the last name, I needn't say more. The Jigglesworth name is a known and respected entity nation-wide and I see no reason to defend it.

It's a perfect name if you ever decide to delve into the field of comedic-porn.

I *tend* to agree with what you've stated BUT more to the point of where i'm getting at with Tristan is that he could become MORE than what we've perceived. I didn't think Lamarcus Aldridge would honestly be as good as he's been as a pro. Did i think he had talent? Sure enough but i wasn't sure if he'd be able to apply it at this level. (so many don't) Tristan could become waaaay better than what he's shown but where i 100% with you, his scoring will tend to be more about power and less about finese. Being able to nail a consistent 17 footer will be a skill that could elevate his game to where it would need to go.

I like to picture Tristan in a Tuxedo T-shirt because it says, like, 'I wanna be formal, but I'm here to party too.'

Have that shirt and wore it with a suit in Vegas. Worked extremely well

he looked like a camp casualty through the first half.

Second half he looks like he could have been a top 5 pick

color me hopeful for the future with him

Damn it. Sorry, but I couldn't find that color in my crayon box.

Tristan Thompson looked as advertised. He's an athletic, long, has some explosiveness, a high motor guy that gets to the FT line. But, he's also NSFW offensively outside of dunk range.

I am pretty sure with his motor and his work ethic, he can develop an offensive game over the next 2-3 years.
