Visiting the Q (from a land down under)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Even if LeBron sits you might witness your fellow/honorary Aussie Kyrie go off for 40 PTA or Delly get some extended run. Hopefully LeBron does play on Friday though.

Don't throw in the towel just yet, fellas. Of course any incarnation of the Cavs would still be unreal, it'd be an awful shame to miss out on one of the greatest of all time.

Just hope he wakes up without a problem. We've had 'doubtful's that have played before..

To add some positive energy:
I think James will play on Friday!

Yep, I hope he plays for you CavsSimmy but if the Cavs keep playing quality Cavs ball it won't matter who's out there, it'll be awesome!

I did the same trip (from Brisbane) way back in '09 it was the most amazing experience I've ever had! I purchased tickets directly from the Cavs ticket sales and they went out of their way to organise an amazing time for me (all off their own bat mind you, I didn't ask for anything).

I went to the Bulls v Cavs and the Sales staff arranged for me to meet with Ahmaad before the game and they interviewed me talking about where I have travelled from to watch the game etc which was cast on the stadium big screens, he then said after the interview to go down to the floor 5 mins before the end of the third quarter which we obviously did. I was stupidly excited, they had to turn down their floor mics because I couldn't help but say expletives (seriously tried not to but couldn't do it) It was overwhelming. Seeing the size of the players was also an experience to behold, I'm 6'3 but some of these guys are just monsters!

So we went out on the floor before the start of the fourth running around like a mad man with Moondog etc. It was an amazing experience with 20 thousand just yelling their heads off, it was ridiculous!

I think the cavs were blowing the bulls out but LBJ kept playing and the last we saw i think he hit a three, got a rebound for his triple double and hit another three then called it a night.

I still remember it all like it was yesterday, as we were walking through the stadium after the game everyone was yelling "put another shrimp on the barbie" at me, pretty funny!

Love Cleveland, the people, the place, the organisation. Super professional and just a once in a lifetime type of experience

Makes me super proud to be a cavs fan!

Sorry if this is TLDR :)

In the post game presser, Blatt said it's nothing long term and they aren't ruling him out for Friday. He said it isn't anything serious and if he feels better in 48 hours then great. So I'm staying optimistic for you! Also, have to say that tonight was my favorite game so far this season even without LeBron. So if he isn't better by Friday, I hope you still have an awesome experience at the game!

I had the pleasure of visiting Australia awhile (uh, 20+ years ago....) back. In Sydney for a couple of weeks, then up to Cairns for some diving on the Reef, and white-water rafting. Auzzies are wonderful people, and there is something of a natural affinity between Americans and Auzzies.

Simmy, you may get the sense that a bunch of us are excited for you to be coming here, and it's because those of us who live here know the people of this city, and know that you will be treated right. There are some places in the U.S. that aren't all that friendly to out-of-towners, but Clevelanders usually love it when anyone from outside comes to their city.

This is freaking amazing! What a story. If I even have half that kind of experience, I'll be crying tears of jubilation!

Thanks for all the messages guys.

Quick update:

Just landed in LA. Saw Kyrie dropped 55 while I was on the plane. Now lamenting that my international league pass is blacked out in the US lol.

I can't believe that Ky decided to have his biggest game ever, in the first game I've missed since I can remember. That's just cruel but crazy at the same time!

Still trying to stay positive RE LBJ. No padding on the wrist + the 48 hour turnaround gives me confidence, though.

But I came to terms with it on the plane: I was going to come last season when LeBron wasn't even in the picture. At the end of the day, I'm screaming for whoever is in wine and gold tomorrow night, and if that means no LeBron James for the good of our long-term season, then so be it.

I'll still get to do all the things in Cleveland that I've always dreamt of!

Should be landing around 8:30pm in CLE so I'll give you guys an update when I land.
