* Z has scored 20 or more points in four of his last six games. He is averaging 19.2 points on .542 shooting (39-72) over that period.

* Cavs split series last series with the Nuggets, 1-1.

Nuggets' notes
* Carmelo Anthony set a new career high with 42 points on Tuesday night at Charlotte.

* The Nuggets are currently on a two-game winning streak in Cleveland. However, prior to the 2003-04 season, the Nuggets last road win against the Cavs came on Apr. 2, 1995 (0-7 from 95-96 to 02-03)

Re: Nuggets at Cavaliers

The Cavalier's are in a "funk" right now and need to "tighten the screws" apparently. I guess if we continue our defensive woes, Anthony, Boykins and Camby will have a field day. Hopefully Ilgauskas can return otherwise it will be a walkover in the paint. If not it will be all hands on deck for the boards as Camby will snatch anything remotely possible.

Hughes comes up against Johnson, so he needs to really attack this gangly guard. Hughes has been overpowered lately, but it cannot be the case here. He really need needs a breakout effort.

Snow has been playing ok and will need to remain tough with Miller, Boykins and Watson coming at him. Denver will play small, so look for Wilks again to get some burn.

LeBron cannot turn this game into a personal matchup with Carmelo. If this happens hand the game to Denver.

Something consistent from Jones and Marshall is required. Jones hit a couple of bombs lats night, but was absolutelty crucified by Tyronn Lue. Marshall is just going through the motions. He needs to mix his offense up rather then just standing on the perimeter.

Brown needs to mix things up. Give Hughes and James time on the court without the other. Hand over control to one as they are just not meshing together.

Cannot predict a Cavaliers win at present, but I'm sure last night has to have some effect. I forsee an improved effort but probably not nearly enough to get the W.

Re: Nuggets at Cavaliers

Keys to victory: Play man-man defense. Screw the system.

But really though. We need to buckle down on defense and get our rotations right.

We need to grab the boards. We've been outrebounded in the past few nights, and that's unacceptable for a team that had the highest rebounding margin in the league mere weeks ago.

Denver is a tight defensive team when focused. We need to make sure to break their focus by getting easy baskets, not forcing them.

Great poker analogy...

Hate the guy that plays the 6-7 all the time because he hit it once and wants to try all the time.

And he scoffs at the A-K because he lost with it before.

Play the high percentage hands, please, Cavs.

Re: Nuggets at Cavaliers

National TV... Melo and the Nuggets are playing well...

This leads me to believe that Raptors-America get blown out----->AGAIN :(

Re: Nuggets at Cavaliers

Lebron needs to do everything to get his team involved and even when fail him, he has to keep trying. We all know Lebron can score, but it has been proven that that isn't enough. This team needs to work together. Hughes has to drive to the rim and get to the line. He has to hound his man. Gooden has to crash those boards and stay in front of Martin. Z (if he plays) has to play smart and not get in foul trouble.

Most importantly, they gotta show some sort of competence on defense and focus on stoping the other team.

Even now at what is seemingly our lost point (hopefully our lowest), we can score just fine...we have to get stop and take care of the ball.

Denver is tough...this isn't going to be easy...but I am going to back the Cavs and say they figure this thing out and get it done.

Re: Nuggets at Cavaliers

Cleveland: Zydrunas Ilgauskas (sprained right knee) is questionable. Sasha Pavlovic (sprained left ankle), Ira Newble (right foot strain) and Anderson Varejao (dislocated right shoulder) are out.

Denver: Kenyon Martin (left knee tendinitis) is probable. Earl Boykins (left hamstring strain) is questionable. Bryon Russell (arthroscopic microfracture surgery on his right knee ) and Nenê (torn ACL in his right knee) are out.

Re: Nuggets at Cavaliers

^^^Thanks Karma. Forgot to list a report, and thought about putting Henderson into the starting 5, but just wasn't sure...

Z is going to give it a go tonight.....

Re: Nuggets at Cavaliers

Thats great to here, at least short term wise. Hopefully this doesn't flare the injury up some more. He did say the injury wont improve with time which is kinda wierd, but I'll run with it with fingers crossed. Z has mighty task tonight taking on rebounding demon Marcus Camby. Limiting his effectiveness their restricts Denver big time.

Be careful....don't run too fast.

Re: Nuggets at Cavaliers

if damon jones does not start soon i am going to sell my season tickets, im a big fan but i cat be in a room with someone as dumb as mike brown. he has no idea what hes doing. why the hell is snow starting can someone tell me? dont say def becuase cavs are giving up over 100 a game so hes not that good. damon smacks threes left and right and hes still not starting idk know what mike brown is smoking but i think it might be alittle old and getting tohe head.

Re: Nuggets at Cavaliers

Hughes1988 you have lost the plot. If Damon Jones was starting tonight Andre Miller and Earl Boyking would go for 30 each and all our bigs would be in foul trouble. But hey Snow doesn't come up with the flashy plays or do any cool gestures so he should be benched.

Boykins being defended by Jones. Cringing at the thought.

Hey tonight can we run some post plays for Mike Wilks on Earl Boykins. Now thats basketball.

Re: Nuggets at Cavaliers

Cavs down 8-6 after Z's sweeping hook.

Re: Nuggets at Cavaliers
