Watching the worst Laker's team of all time

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Jeannie Buss really helped matters when she said, "Good players are afraid to play with Kobe". Nothing like a second generation owner who has never known a day of hard work rallying the troops!
Oh god, that interview was so bad. I fastforwarded halfway through due to cringing.

If I'm Kobe, do I demand a trade?
Although realistically, there isn't a single team in the league that would want to touch his contract.

Yep. Any team that would want him would go way into the tax. His desire to continue being the first option doesn't help one iota. He could change his game, but even Jordan wasn't so effective when he got older because neither of these guys had any humility.

First I thought, "Who could even match salary"

Then I thought of a deal around Haywood's contract and Dion. Starting 5 of Kyrie, Kobe, LeBron, Love and ______. Lakers fans would be irate.

These guys are truly going to be 2010 Cavs bad. Randle was their only young bright spot, filling in where Ron Artest used to be.

Kobe's second phase of his career truly started when the Lakers added Pau Gasol. The Cavaliers just made a similar move by getting LeBron James Kevin Love, in addition to Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters.

The craziest shit is that Byron got his dream job, Kobe's been catching serious flack from the media, and he's going to set out to play Kobeball and there's not a damn thing cross-armed-Scott is going to do about it.

2010 bad? Really? Don't get me wrong, these Lakers are going to be badddd, but 2010 Cavs were one of the worst teams of all time. Not trying to be a dick but I just don't see it. I think this team will win 25-30 games without Randle.

Why did Kobe go for a max contract, what a selfish guy, doesn't care about the team at all,
Learn from Tim Duncan you prick

I figured this was especially important given Jack is a Lakers superfan.

It's his right leg. He drives and jumps off his right foot and you can see the break happen as his leg/ankle sharply shifts to the right.

Am I allowed to say my life would have been simpler last year if this happened to Anthony Bennett in the 2013 opener?

You're an Admin Keys, you could take a shit on our collective foreheads and we had better well like it :chuckle:

On topic, sucks for Randle that he literally will be out for his entire season, especially since he looked so promising leading up to it in pre-season, summer league, etc..... but, it simply isn't so sad that it outweighs the pure unadulterated glee and schadenfreude of seeing the Lakers go down in flames before they're even halfway out of the gate. keep suckin' L.A, keep on suckin'.

We might not have won Wiggins then. Don't regret anything that happened because changing anything from the past could have affected that delicate balance of us getting LeBron and Love.

If I'm the Lakers I continue to make the roster as awful as possible in order to keep that pick. They'll really need it.
Never know man - They got the one man who can get them a good chance in the lottery in Byron Scott. If history is any indication, expect the Lakers to get a top #3 pick for the next two or three years.
