Week 4 2018 | Browns @ Raiders

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
For what it's worth, the Browns scored a touchdown on the drive after the blown sack fumble call in only 1:26, so it wasn't like those points didn't hit the scoreboard right away anyway.

The changing of the spot was much worse.

I feel bad for Hue. A guy I want fired. That's how much the refs fucked up.

Coaches jobs are decided on wins and losses, and multiple games this year have been decided by the refs.

The game was over. It literally was over! Kneel 3 damn times and it’s over. The refs took that away from us for no reason. The nfl rules guy couldn’t believe they did that, in fact he said the replay looked like he had gained a little more. Totally unacceptable!

I'm honestly not sure how you can say this one isn't largely on the refs when a pivotal call that would have ended the game was badly overturned. Two, if you want to count the fumble that was called back.

Stating the number of close losses last year sounds a lot like pointing out moral victories to me, but to each their own. All of the Browns' games this year have been decided by less than a touchdown. Guess what? They've still managed to win exactly one of those games, tying once (almost twice) and losing two.

But hey, you're right. I feel so much better losing close games this year with more talent as opposed to losing close games last year with less talent.

A loss is a loss, whether your QB throws for 400 yards or manages to turn it over 4 times. And it fucking sucks.

If you're alright with tying games and losing close ones, more power to you. The vast majority of fans in this city deserve better.
Actually I was pointing out the opposite. 4 out of 16 losses is hardly every game.
and your the one shouting about moral victories not me.

1-2-1 is not the end of the season.

Mr Orange stated that Bad teams find a way to lose.

I don't feel the Browns are really that bad of a team this year and improving from week to week is well within their grasp.

There was bad calls. The Browns absolutely should of won the game as they had the clinching first down.

Still though the Browns had the ball with 30 seconds and turned it over.
they had the ball in OT and failed to move the chains

there still 12 more games to play,

This is a bad team. Saying “we should be 4-0” is laughable. But people are saying it.

A bad team would be 0-4.

I've seen bad teams. We all have. This is a "improving" team that's poorly coached. Talent is there, but everything else is struggling.

Or using his helmet as a battering ram on every play...
Yes. It was obvious they weren’t letting us win, but man, that was bad.
The overturned call, miss penalties and the fucking sack was unacceptable.

I mean did the Browns have a bunch of chances to slam door shut on the Raiders? Off course this team made a ton of mistakes letting them back in the game but this team overcomes all that to have a call overturned like that is just tough to swallow. Good teams in this league have horrible games like this with turnovers, drops, and somehow overcome all that to win the game. Its a tough blow to a young team to have to have a ref make that kind of call without any real evidence to do so. I guess its on to Baltimore next week with knowing that Baker is our future and our secondary may be trash again, but at least we can score some points now.

We beat the Ravens by double digits. Baker plays lights out. He is our QB for the long term. I’ve seen more from him than any QB since the return.

This officiating crew rivaled "bottlegate" on jobbing us.

It's just so damn frustrating. Drops, penalties, overthrows, blown coverages, poor play calls, bad tackling. It just sucks as a fan.

I'm not a guy that's going to blame the refs, the Browns had their chances and probably should've won this football game...

That said..

I'm honestly confused as to why Myles sack in the 4th quarter wasn't a fumble. I've watched a lot of football. I played college ball. I'm currently a football coach. I've never seen anything like that in my life. I'm honestly wondering if someone can explain to me why this wasn't considered a fumble? The ball came out as soon as he was hit. I have no idea how anyone in the NFL office can justify that call. I understand that refs will miss calls, but this was unreal. I'm curious to see if the NFL will have anything to say. That was horrendous.

There wasn't even any forward motion which I believe was the call on the field. Like, there wasn't even a chance for forward motion. It wasn't even close. I can understand if he is cocking his arm back to throw, but he wasn't. He had it somewhat tight to his chest, looking for targets. He was at least a second or two away from making a throw.
