Ian Eagle? God damnit. Well, it could be worse, they could pair Troy Aikman with Rich Gannon and Fran Drescher. We need to start winning so we can get some half competent announcers. Its bad enough when we're not playing well, but it compounds my frustration when the announcers we get clearly didn't even bother to do some light reading about the team before they call the game.

As for the game itself, I think our offense struggles again and our defense does its best but plays 3/4 of the game and gets worn out, allowing Gore to go wild in the second half. I don't see how we're going to win this game, the 49ers are just a lot more talented and we've not shown the ability to squeek a win out by outcoaching the other team yet.

At least they didn't pair Ian Eagle with Solomon Wlicots this time. :chuckles:

That is one of the worst combos of announcers I've ever heard, It's one of those times I wish I were born deaf..

The guys they had going for the Seahawks Browns game are probably the worst I've ever heard. Jim Mora's hard on for Bryant was unbearable.

Marv Albert calling the majority of the Browns games has been the best thing about the season so far.

I can agree with that, the guys called our defensive coordinator Dick Lebeau.. Like come on, Dick Juraun is so far off from Lebeau its unbelievable.

I still have major love for Don Criqui from all of the great Browns playoff games he used to call back in the day.

For once I just want to get Jim Nantz.. Easily the best NFL announcer out there.

I wouldn't mind getting Gus Johnson for a game or 2. I also think Marv is great.

I don't even listen to the fucking announcers. I have eyes, I can see what is going on on the field. I don't care of the corpse of Chris Farley announces them to be honest.

2 safeties in one game?

Funny...

Cause you two are the ones who appear to have missed the joke.

2+2= 4
10-4= 6

So our job here is to determine how the Browns would have gotten their remaining 6 points and to see if that might explain why he asked about the two safeties. I think it would be pretty reasonable to expect they got the six from FG's. And I think two FG's + two safeties would be humorous given that when one sees 10, they assume a TD was scored.

That said...we have clear evidence that he's alluding to the Browns score given that Aussie predicted a Browns win and he responded to that post. So we're far more concerned about how the Browns hypothetically got to 10 rather than 6.

So now that we know how a football team can score 10 points without scoring a TD, I think we can draw enough information to determine that the safeties question was not only reasonable but an opportunity to poke fun at the Browns poor offense.

You're welcome, guys.

I think it will be a close game but eventually San Fran makes a special teams play that kills us.

I thought he said San Fran winning, though I did take the whole 4+6 thing into consideration, I really just didn't think he was saying that. :chuckles:

Jokes on me I guess.

My only problem is who the fuck said anything about not scoring a TD.

I know the Browns offense is inept, so it may go without saying, but still.

How do you get 6 from 2 safeties?

He said 10-6 Browns win, which would imply we scored a touchdown and a field goal. The joke being we obviously scored 2 safeties with 2 field goals because we can't score touchdowns with our offense.

Not nearly as funny when I have to explain it step by step :thumbdown

Edit: I see Jigo is already on it, thanks bro.

Yes, that was the joke :p
