LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
One thing that's not great is he played 40 min again tonight.

At some point Blatt is going to have to trim the minutes down. Really we could use another 2/3 wing player with some athleticism to soak up some SF minutes, especially if we are starting Marion at SG.

He is playing a lot of minutes, but they don't seem to be heavy minutes. I'm OK with it.

Disagree, he had to do a lot last night. Get our offense going and set the tone defensively. Even the Bulls game he worked hard those minutes. I'd argue that he has played heavy/hard minutes 3/5 games

He played smart and fairly efficient...I would definitely not say he was playing at full speed.

Please no, LeBrons shooting seems to be improving as he ages. Magic never had a 3 ball but he averaged 12+ assit many seasons. LeBron is around 7. No reason for LeBron to change his game

Magic did have a good 3 ball later in his career. It was a slow set shot but he was consistent with them. I actually think playing point forward fits his game over the last few years fairly well: he can run as many pick and rolls as he'd like. His shot is money from 3 and just like his passing, he can shoot and pass over smaller guys and he's still going to blow by bigs if they switch on him.

Plus, guys like Magic and Lebron are so talented that they don't have to sacrifice their game if asked to emphasize a part of their game that they haven't had to do in the past. Kyrie really does look like a SG in a PG's body and Lebron and Love are best passers. Love ain't going to be bringing the ball up the floor so it might as well be Lebron

Hopefully soon, Blatt is going to figure out that our best lineup will have Dion, Matrix, and Tristan coming off the bench, starting Mike Miller to get minutes next to LeBron James.

Love Blatt, think he's a great communicator, no BS guy. Miller's best looks are going to come from playing with LeBron James and Kevin Love. Mike is not an ideal fit with the bench, and Dion is not an ideal fit with the starters.

The best part about Miller, is once we figure out how to use him, if he nets us two or three 3's in a game, it doesn't matter at what point of the game he scores those 6-9 pts, having an additional 6-9 points tacked onto our cumulative score is going to increase the # of wins on the season. Qualitatively, Miller is a huge threat in a playoff series, he's a rhythm shooter and we've all seen him nail a hand full of clutch shots at critical points in a game.

LeBron needs to campaign for Mike as the starting SG. Matrix is not ideal playing the 2. At this point though, I think Blatt would have Delly in there if he could. Mike is a different kind of threat than Delly. Dova is a nice player, but we don't have to have a traditional PG covering for Kyrie.

We have LeBron James.

You know, it's about prioritizing who plays and who doesn't.

Right now, Shawn is actually starting while guarding the 3. LeBron has had the assignment on the 2 guard due to his (quicker, versatile, and younger) athleticism. Since Marion is still able to guard the slower and bigger 3s while (occasionally) hitting the shot, he is a more complete player with Love, LeBron, and Kyrie while keeping the ball moving.

My guess is if Mike starts playing more time with LeBron through the first quarter of the season, as long as he's playing at the same time as LeBron, won't need to start. And with that (lack of) defense, it makes sense for now. It's not permanent yet though.

Yeah the "I hope so" bit is fairly concerning for LeBron.
