"James has also been in contact with Love, Marion and free agent Ray Allen as he decides whether he wants to continue his career."

This is pretty awesome if its true. I knew about the others, but I haden't heard that James was in contact with Marion as well.

Rest of the story:

LeBron James met with new Cleveland Cavaliers coach David Blatt and new general manager David Griffin in person for the first time Tuesday as he prepared for the upcoming season, sources told ESPN.com.

James has been extremely busy since announcing his decision to sign with the Cavs last month, going on promotional trips for Nike to Brazil and China while also shooting a movie in New York. James met face-to-face with team owner Dan Gilbert before announcing his free agent choice but had communicated with Griffin and Blatt by telephone and text.

The Cavs management saw a thinner James when they hosted him at their training facility. He has been focused on cutting his weight since the end of the Finals by reducing carbs and has lost more than 10 pounds.

James' thinner frame was noticeable on some photos he posted on his Instagram account earlier this week.

It has been a busy week for the Cavs. Mike Miller came to town and is soon expected to sign a two-year, $5.6 million deal with the Cavs. They also hosted veteran free agent forward Shawn Marion on a visit Monday and they are hoping to sign him to a contract as well.

The team has been deep in discussions with the Minnesota Timberwolves on a trade for Kevin Love since June. ESPN reported last week the Wolves and Cavs are focuses on completing a deal once No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins is eligible to be traded on Aug. 23 as multiple league sources have begun to describe a Love-to-Cleveland trade as a "when" transaction as opposed to an "if."

James may not have been in the same room as his front office this summer but he's been working alongside them. He successfully recruited Miller and free agent James Jones. James has also been in contact with Love, Marion and free agent Ray Allen as he decides whether he wants to continue his career.

Over the weekend, Wiggins told ESPN that he had not spoken with James since being drafted.

I love this recruitment job LeBron is putting on. Never thought I'd see the day that would happen in Cleveland.

It's because we have a legitimately good team this time around. Last time it was LeBron and a lot of not so good players, and combined with the fact that no one knew if LeBron was around for the long haul it shouldn't have been a surprise that no one wanted to come despite any recruiting efforts.

LeBron was 22-24 then. Vets didn't respect him as much then as they do now. Certainly not enough to consider less money or going to Cleveland, Ohio. Now, young guys entering the league grew up idolizing LeBron. We are in good shape the next 5-6 years for sure...

Does the two-palms-open gesture mean anything? Is it his personal thing or company thing or something? Just curious since he's committed to that pose. :chuckles:

That pose coupled with his extreme weight loss makes me think he is going for a Christ look this year.

I swear he is trying to channel his own version of the Fonz. Or maybe he is doing the Anti-Manziel (thumbs out, not rubbing)...
