Farewell, Richard Jefferson.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Apparently slightly bad contracts are an "asset" in this new salary cap era, so if the need arises, we can send him to a team trying to hit the cap floor a la Mo Williams and Birdman (our two latest corpses vets). Yet more unintended consequences, though much less disruptive than a Durant signing with the Warriors.

I think the most alarming part of Jefferson's game is how much his 3-point shot has fallen off a cliff. Last year he was pretty consistent from beyond the arc, but this year I don't even want him taking a shot.

That should be an element of your game that doesn't deteriorate with age, but it's just lost at this point.

Let's hope he finds it within the next few months...

It's weird, because I feel like his normal floor game has looked just fine this year. He still looks athletic, strong, etc. He's been doing all of that stuff just fine. His three ball has just been completely missing, all year. I think he should start only shooting from the corners until he gets his groove back because I can't remember the last time he hit one of those straight-away 28 footers that he was hitting last year

I just wouldn't worry about anything he does till the playoffs. This time last year I was sure he was an unnecessary luxury, then the finals happened. You dont sweat his regular season because he's proven to be one of those roleplayers that can elevate his game in playoff situations.

Contrast with those roleplayers who you know will play great in the season and slump in the postseason

Is anyone having more fun in life than Richard Jefferson?

Play a little ball (very well for his age) every couple days, record his podcasts, tweet clever things and constantly finding new ways to bust his teammates balls.

Bill. Fucking. Walton.

Just listen to That podcast episode he was a guest on, he was borderline delirious.

someone showed a clip on the Korver thread of Korver helping RJ adjust his three point shooting mechanics.

It impresses me a guy at RJ's age and experience is still not only open to coaching but will ask for it.
