So Long, James Jones

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Welcome James Jones

Man, I hope we get Oden -- just so that there is a reasonable chance that one day we trot out a lineup of: Irving/Wiggins/LBJ/Bennett/Oden

That would be awesome.

5 #1 picks would be cray. Even tho Oden is washed up.

I don't. We need a center that will actually be available to play next year. We're too thin at the 4 and 5.

Re: Welcome James Jones

Heat RealGM boards are extra salty over this one. Some highlights:

Nice to see them getting a little taste of their own medicine. :chuckles:

There can be little doubt that this is now going to be the best rivalry in the NBA.

I don't think Oden could trot anywhere without injuring one of his knees.

I'd take koufos... I'm sure his family would love it too being close to home.

I'm not nearly concerned with the 4 depth as I am with the 5 depth.

Honestly, I see the 5 as the Cavs' only real area of need. I think they are pretty well set at every other position, even if they don't end up getting Ray Allen. They HAVE to find another person to put into that rotation besides Andy and Tristan.

Re: Welcome James Jones

I love this pickup. LeBron is a big James Jones fan - for a reason. But James Jones found himself in kind of the same spot with Spoelstra as JJ Hickson was once in with Mike Brown. Remember, LeBron wanted Hickson to see more minutes in the playoffs in 2010 and Brown wasn't down. LeBron was the same way with Jones and Spo.

So I wrote a bit about Jones' lone highlight from the playoffs last season. I touch on what LeBron sees in him a little bit. I didn't say much - mostly I wanted a reason to mess around with photoshop.

But I do mention the best thing about Jones: "Every time Jones shoots I think it’s going in (perfect arc)"

Brendan Haywood... *shudders*

Re: Welcome James Jones

Had no idea he won the 3 point contest 3 eyars ago. We got our Graig Hodges.

Hopefully there are 2 Cavaliers in this video.

Re: Welcome James Jones

I had no idea he won the shootout either. He is definitely a guy who never shows much emotion on the court, so it was most likely that he is just forgettable personality-wise. I don't think I've ever seen him smile once and he rarely even talks it seems haha.
