Kareem Hunt: One Pissed Off Runner!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Why though? We managed just fine last season after the Hyde trade with the trio of Chubb, Duke, and Hilliard.

Honestly we wont use Duke much this year, the final 8 games of the year he had 16 rushes and 27 receptions. His receptions go down with an improved receiving corp, but 5.5 touches a game. And I am guessing if we keep him, maybe 4 touches a game through the first 8. We will use Hunt more than Duke, they are not swaps, Hilliard was good, I just rather see if we can get something like a nickel corner for Duke, bigger impact at a position of strength.

Think they’ll appeal based on “time-served” since he’s been on the exempt list since November?

I doubt they will appeal. We are lucky he only got eight weeks. He can be with the team, and learn our plays. He'll also be ready for the playoffs.

This is a steal.

Well isn't this just a feel good thread.

Hey if we are going to take ex Chiefs troubled players, rather have the one that didn't just admit to beating his son and physically threatening his fiancée on tape.

Hunt's situation is a bit overblown because of the me too movement. He hit his friend into a girl and knocked her over after she refused to leave and called him the N Word. Doesn't make it right, but he really isn't a domestic abuser, he is a violent drunk, like the other 2 incidents.

I know. We should have kept him is what I'm saying.

Now losing Tyreek, we just lost two of the most dynamic weapons in league history as far as I'm concerned. Now our WR core looks questionable and so does our Super Bowl chances when we were finally on the brink.

Not to make this thread about Tyreek, but I don't want us to make the same mistake. If Tyreek never plays in the league again, great. I just don't want another team taking him for nothing. He is already banned from the facilities, just keep him on the roster if he is only suspended.

The Chiefs didn't cut Hunt for what he did. They cut him for lying to their faces about it.

It was a tough situation for the Chiefs to be in. You can't be in the business of allowing players to lie to you like that...you'd be setting a dangerous precedent. With that said, they could have just suspended him themselves instead of cutting him. In hindsight, perhaps they should have. It's a tough call for an organization...probably could have gone either way. Twitter going crazy doesn't help the cause.

If he was honest and straight up with them all along, there's absolutely no doubt in my mind he'd still be there. Not only that but he would have not gotten into nearly as much trouble as he did in terms of suspension length...the Chiefs could have gotten ahead of it and suspended him for maybe a couple games. Instead he's cumulatively missing an entire season and a playoff run that was a coin flip from going to the Super Bowl. He fucked both himself and the Chiefs by lying.

As for Hill...

He's just a literal piece of shit human being. It's too bad, many believed he had turned his life around...there was a nice article not long ago detailing his family and their lives and how he turned it around from College. Evidently...it was all a front. He fooled everyone.

I'm not sure it even matters whether you cut him or not, ala Josh Gordon. He might be out of football so long it won't make a difference whether you have his rights or not.

Give me Tyreek.

I am ok with the drunk guy with anger issues, but no way do I want Tyreek and breaking my sons arm and thinking he is justified for it on my team.

This is why I was pissed they called Hunt domestic abuse, because not all domestic abuses are equal.

There's plenty I can see past but child abuse should literally be grounds for kicked out the league....

Its really just beyond child abuse, its the lack of remorse or even ability to understand he did anything wrong in the phone call that just sickens me.

I said it the time and I will say it again, that is a cultural thing. Southern black mothers would use a switch on their kids to discipline them. It is only this generation that considers that against the parents rights.

In the end, AP showed remorse and understanding that is not how things are done. Breaking your kids arm and showing no remorse is next level.
