Oh Bosh, first, the attention seeking and "hey remember me, I exist is beyond transparent"

Second, Love is such a better natural fit next to LeBron in year one than Bosh was. Already an elite 3 point shooter(both in percentage and volume) for his position. A better rebounder(both offensively and defensively) than Bosh. Those to factors alone will boost his PPG by 4-6 PPG over what he would normally get in whatever the flow of our offense will be.

Third, the pacing, tempo, and passing of our offense should be ahead of Miami's 2011-2014 offense, so while Love's stats may dip from last years gaudy numbers, I don't think they'll dip under 20.

Lastly, Love himself will be the one who determines if any of that is a "problem" for him, not jealous lover Chris Bosh.

Why the need to hate on Bosh? Did you even read the article? I am about as far as one can get from a Bosh defender, but everything he said is absolutely true. Love is going from the first and best option on the team to the second or third. He got to pick his spots before and now has to find a way to fit within the offense. All of that takes a learning curve. This is pretty simple and obvious stuff (bleacher report) and your post does not address that in any way. Jealous lover? Really?

I read the article and quotes in full.

Yes I took a little dig at him in the final sentence of my post, but beyond that everything I said is pretty spot on as fact in terms of comparing the way Love is a better fit on the court next to LeBron than Bosh was and how that might lessen the downtic in stats for Love that Bosh experienced while winning championships in Miami with LeBron and Wade.

Secondly, Bosh in a lot of quotes yesterday and today is talking about how he's on focused on his team, the players on his team, and looking forward. How does that jive with him then taking 5 minutes to tell the whole world what kevin Love's experience will be playing next to LeBron, which was really nothing more than a veiled attempt to say his own individual numbers suffered playing next to LeBron. Had Bosh rebounded as well as Love and had a legit 3P shot from the get go, his numbers may not have dipped so much in the first place.

In any regard, the main point stands. Did Kevin Love or anyone on the Cavs ask Chris Bosh for his opinion on how Love will fit playing next to LeBron in an entirely different system, with a completely different roster?

Well I was unable to read Bosh's mind as well as you were. I think he is answering the questions posed to him and "the main point" is an ESPN narrative you created on your own. I'll make a little bet to myself and see if you are in the Dion thread yelling at people taking his words out of context and paying too much attention to the media.

Bosh still sounding a little butt-hurt. Of course, Love is going to get less touches on this team. That isn't a surprise. He is still a perfect fit for our offense who knows nothing but losing. If Love truly wants the best shot at winning, he be a Cavalier for a long time.

Bosh's new situation is interesting. He is going to have to take on much more of a leadership role with an ailing Wade, especially if Deng doesn't bounce back. I honestly believe he will average more points then Wade this year. He better put his rebounding hat back on and transition back to his post game.

While I LOATHE the Heat b/c of Lebron, i am very intrigued by them this year. When your winning, everything comes easy. We are going to learn a lot about their team next year and i hope we see them in the playoffs. Wade always brought his A game against Lebron. Can he rise to that level again?

Umm, it's pretty damn obvious Bosh is salty and is projecting his frustration on his former teammate.

Bosh can talk about sacrifice all he wants but no one but himself caused his 0-for-whatever performance in game seven of the 2013 finals. Or his shortcomings on the glass.

That's effort and scheme. I'm tired of hearing how much he sacrificed, because that's far from the whole story. Look at how many threes he took last season and then look at how many he threes he attempted in his career before that. That's more than sacrifice, effort and scheme, it's an alteration of playing style and mentality. The guy has become Sam Perkins.

If I had not included the "jealous lover" tongue in cheek jab at Bosh in my first post, would you really be up in arms over the content of what I said?

Bosh in his own words said he's not worried about other teams or other players, then offers up a two paragraph passive aggressive diatribe on how another player experience is going to be playing next to LeBron. That is not a media created narrative nor a "MirORich random poster on a message board" created narrative, it's a Chris Bosh narrative and it reflects poorly on him in light of his other comments about how other teams are not his concern. In the grand scheme of things is it crazy what Bosh said or way, way off base? Probably not. Just think its hypocritical and unneccessary. And if it was a set up, leading question by a reporter, players who are better able to handle the media or don't want to deliver a message that will be "taken out of context" know how to shut down a question or reporter. Chris Bosh is a good player. Chris Bosh is a good human from everything I've ever read about him(not that its my place to make that judgement anyways). I have no ill will against Chris Bosh. I take issue for the most part with words, concepts, and actions more than the people themselves. Bosh said what he said and I can have my opinion on it, and while not on a thesis level or even expert level, I backed up my points with some context.

As for Dion, I'm a staunch supporter of him, so yeah, I probably defended his general attitude and personality lately in his thread regarding the Best Backcourt debates of last week. If that makes me hypocritical in some ways, I'm perfectly fine with admitting that ;)

I don't like Chris Bosh. I don't even respect him. I just find it ridiculous that people jump all over the guy and invent all kinds of stories about what he is thinking based on him answering a couple questions from reporters, and then turn around and yell at people for doing the same to Dion. It isn't a little hypocritical - it is being a complete homer and really undercuts any claims of objective analysis.

On topic, I think Bosh's advice is wise, and according to the article, already well taken by Love. He is going to have to change his style of play and see his numbers go down. There's only so many minutes in the game. And nobody knows where they will end up in uncharted waters, so I hope he stays patient and is able to weather the storm. That is a real concern. Ripping on Bosh isn't going to change that.

I'd much rather Love change his game, sacrifice, and average 20,15, and 5.

I think it's amazing that a "sacrifice" of his game means numbers of 20/15/5. Such a testament to his ability that a reduction in his output is more or less still considered fantastic nightly numbers from any player in the league.

If you don't like Bosh or respect him then why pretend as if people are fabricating stories about him? No one is. Also, no one brought Dion except you. Dion is not a part of this discussion. If you want to know why people defend Dion, it's because he plays for the Cavs and fans are biased to an extent. Their defense of Dion will prove to be justified or unjustified soon enough.

But this was about Bosh and what he said. Bosh is completely salty about LeBron leaving, which is completely hilarious considering he was on the verge of bolting too until Miami decided to give him way more money than he is worth. Bosh's advice isn't wise at all. Why not? Because he's simply regurgitating everything everyone else has told Kevin Love since he arrived. He is also trying to tell Kevin Love how hard it's going to be when he has absolutely no clue how "hard" it will be for Love to transition into a secondary option in an offense that is designed to run people out of the gym. None.

"There's only so many minutes in the game". So you're implying Love will have to reduce his minutes? In a frontcourt that lacks depth? Really? Now, if you meant he will have to share the ball and not minutes, then you are absolutely correct. But you are acting as if Love is getting some sort of valuable advice from Bosh when, in fact, he is not. Love already realizes what's ahead.

Based on just the one preseason game, it looks like Waiters makes a point of keeping Love "interested"

There's one person on earth who has been in Love's current position - going from an offense where the power forward is the focal point operating out of the block to an offense with Lebron and another ball dominant guard. And he, Chris Bosh, was asked about his personal experience. He then answered the question. The point of bringing up Dion is to demonstrate the hypocritical nature of people imputing all kinds of negative characteristics to innocuous comments by Bosh and then getting up in arms when people do it to Dion. Just something to think about.

I find it ironic that you are saying Bosh is regurgitating what everyone else is saying when you are doing the exact same thing regarding his mind state. You don't know anything. Yet you feel comfortable denying a man's lived experience because he is "salty" based on.... what again? I can make a convincing argument that he is happier now. He can now be the first option, have the offense built around where he wants to be on the floor, get paid a ridiculous amount of money to play in an awesome city, not be under insane national scrutiny every day, and prove wrong those who claim he is just a third wheel and didn't add much to the team. He won his championships and can now increase his numbers for a hall of fame bid. Seems like a pretty awesome setup. But it is also just my conjecture. Same as yours.

So yes, Bosh's advice is wise because he is the only one who has gone through it. It is what he learned through his personal experience. That's wisdom. Who knows, maybe it's more comfortable as the second or third option because it takes a lot of pressure off of you and you no longer see the other team's best defenders. Or you no longer have to face the press as the fall guy for the team's lack of success. Point being, you don't know what the future holds until you go through it. Bosh is the one guy who has and he concluded that it came as a personal sacrifice. And when he speaks about it, homers here somehow take it as an affront to Love and attack Bosh and explain why Love is better (he is, but it is completely beside the point).

Correct in correcting me. I was thinking there's only so many shots in the game and for some reason wrote minutes.

Bosh wasn't taking a shot he was just saying its hard to sacrifice your game for another man. Which I understand. Also said it doesn't get easier even as winning and time passes.

But he got 2 rings out of it so at what point does the crying stop? He should thank LeBron honestly. Without him he wouldn't have any rings. If you told Love right now that his game will be watered down to only a jumpshooter/rebounder, but he'll get 3 rings, im sure he'd be happy

Chris Bosh sucks.
