Yay! Another old player who does nothing but shoot threes! Why do we need Korver? Super redundant.

You want a certain amount of redundancy with your three point specialists simply because there are going to be nights when they just can't hit a shot to save their lives. On those nights, it's nice to be able to plug in another forty percent shooter for thirty minutes instead.

Definitely an upgrade over Dunleavy... I was pretty incensed about Dunleavy and losing Delly, but netting Korver - assuming we got him for very little - is a net positive move for the Cavs. I see no downsides here, assuming we didn't lose the trade itself.

I got to hear the rest of the details, but I'm split on this to be honest. Before people hit the disagree button a million times, and I get this is an exciting pickup.

One, we still need someone to guard Kevin Durant and Korver is not that guy. So if we wasted the remaining of our best trading assets to get Korver, I'm going to be pretty disappointed.

Now, obviously, I think he's an upgrade to what we currently have and a great replacement to JR being out. If they got him for peanuts, I have no problem, but we still need a defensive wing.

LeBron is going to have to be that guy.

Also, Korver is currently a -0.1 DBPM, was a +0.5 DBPM last year -- three years before that was +0.2, +0.5, +0.5 -- those aren't bad numbers (actually, they are above average for a wing).

Dunleavy by comparison is -0.9, -0.9, -0.2 his last three years (was much better before that and before injuries).

Korver is a legit defensive option you can play against GSW -- Dunleavy was not.

No need to worry about Durant when we constantly shut down Curry. Also when it's raining threes will it really matter.
