Mike Miller's physical skills have been limited for a few years, both from injury and age. But there are two things about him that are valuable to this team. First, it has been reported (Windhorst) that Miller has been the guy who has tried to serve as a bridge builder on this team, in particular regarding James and Blatt. He also always appears to be the one guy who is connected to everyone, players and coaches, and who exhibits a positive attitude. The value of having someone like him around, who everyone seems to respect, can't be overstated, especially given the chaos and turmoil that this team has been going through. It is a team game, and while a team can get away with a certain amount of ISO on offense, defense has to be a team effort. It may well be that he has been as important a leader as anyone, coach or player, in trying to bring the team together. Second, no matter how old he is or how diminished his skills may be, he is one of the great clutch shooters in the game's recent history. If he is needed in a tight playoff game, he certainly will not fear the moment, and I would still trust him as much as anyone with a big shot in a big game.

Mike Miller, the consummate professional, anticipates picking up player option with Cleveland Cavaliers

"I think I can play as long as they need me to be, to be honest with you," Miller said. "It's a matter of what I want to do with my kids and how I approach it."

This season Miller's numbers and minutes are the lowest he's accumulated throughout his 15-year career: 2.3 points and 14.9 minutes per game.

He better pull out a 5 3 pointer game in the postseason for us

And that's that mr. 2 rings

Did he even play today? Interesting that Jones is now higher up on the depth chart than him.

His legs are completely shot, I'm not counting on any of this magic 3pt shooting when it counts nonsense- the best the dude can do now is defensively rotate "academically".

My only question is for people that go to the game at the Q, does mike wear his sneakers or some comfy slippers while sitting on the bench, by the end of the season I'm expecting him and Haywood to wear smoking jackets

Plus we are on the hook for his contract next year. Looks like he should be coaching. We have too many guys at the end of the bench that "can't play"
