With the deals players are getting in the market, Vernon’s contract actually looks like a bargain.

If we can renegotiate to add a year, while reducing cap number and giving him some guaranteed money back, it goes to theft territory.

Vernon came with a high cap number — $15.5 million this year and $15.5 million — but none of it is guaranteed and the Browns will likely restructure the deal to bring that cap hit down and give Vernon some guaranteed money.
